Cameron Hollopeter, 18, fell onto the tracks at the 137th Street and Broadway Station after apparently suffering a seizure, according to authorities.

Wes Autrey, 50, a Navy veteran and construction worker, was standing nearby on the platform with his children when he saw Hollopeter fall. Autrey jumped down to the track area and lay on top of Hollopeter as a train passed about "2 inches" from his head.

In the split-second he had to decide as a southbound train approached, Autrey said he chose to stay in the "gutter" between two sets of subway tracks instead of trying to pull the victim back up to the platform.

"I chose to dive on top of him and pin him down and myself down," Autrey said.

wow, I take my first statement back he's even more super than Aquaman

I will cover him with my soft, fleshy body! That will stop the millions of pounds of speeding train!

That's awesome.

I must now inform my friend that he can no longer claim the title "best-man" in good concience.

... To which he will most certainly disagree.

Teee-heee.

But seriously folks - that guy is amazingly brave.

what's wrong with seamen? you've never seen seamen? I've been to many a port where all you see is seamen ..seamen to the left, seamen to the right, seamen at work, seamen at play ..oh those loveable seasmenz

It's cool to see people like that performing acts of heroism and such...once a guy jumped into a geyser pool to save his friend's dog...talk about dedicated...they both died though.

I've got nothing against seamen - hell, I've been in regular contact with seamen for years and whilst I don't think it's good to have seamen all over your house, there's definitely a time and a place, and it's good to know you can still get your hands on seamen when you need to.

Why does that remind me somewhat of Jurassic Bark?

you're a brave lad letting all those seamen into your house ..you just never know where they've been

Aquaman abuses his powers and use the fish as slaves to get him beer. Yeah. Fish slaves. Awesome.

Wasn't there a story like this receantly? Where some guy was pushed onto the tracks... and someone else saved him...

I remember a story recently where the guy got pushed down and he kept low on the tracks. No one jumped in with him though.
