Hey guys remember the thompson m1 i posted back on these forums awhile back to get into a mod called "vietnam - Broken arrow" well i got in and i just had to touch up my thompson and they are using it :) Im still kind of caught up in school for first yr. But after the assigments it should lay off and i do get time on the weekend i geuss. Anyway , i hope you like its been skinned aswell :) here are the links

nope that should be wood , it just looks weird because of the lighting or render i think :)
 
the textures look really bland ...no weathering at all and no depth ... the wood shouldnt make such a smooth transition to the metal there should be a curve or an edge there.

this is ww2 we are talking about the metal was very gritty ... and u can see obvious color variation.

just incase you didn't know, they did use the M1A1 Thompson SMG in Vietnam

i resent that comment ...because the post was actually relevant i was trying to make a point about how the metal used in ww2 was not given the kind of finishing touches todays weaponry has as a result the metal was gritty and had a brushed look.
 
yes that is a very good point (all ww2 metal should be weathered), and this forum does not need snooty remarks about how relevant things are.
