Boo. No, seriously - booooooooooo. A Tim Burton film? I see. Johnny Depp? Check. Helena Bonham Carter? Check. Overly stylised? Check. There is nothing to Burton films anymore; he has truly over-indulged in a case of style over substance, and it is impossible to differentiate the characters from his favourite actor and wife respectively.

Count me out. I am sure Lewis Carroll is rolling around in his grave.

Looks very interesting, visually.

However, it saddens my heart to see that once it is released Alice In Wonderland will finally receive the big Hot Topic treatment.

I'd bone the hell out of Helena Bonham Carter, T.B. is a lucky man.

His old GF, Lisa Marie, was way hotter.

You just don't understand Eejit, you just don't.

Maybe you've never had a fat goth chick crush the things that you love?

Actually no, my family and friends have never been attacked by fat goth chicks.

Letting a fat goth chick get a little overzealous with your mansack is one of those things you try once and crave forever after.

As with most aspects of Carroll's private life, I'd really rather not know what he rolls around with in his grave.

I'm interested, if only because there has never really been a great Alice film, and it's always worth a try.

You didn't like the disney animated movie?

One of the weakest movies Walt Disney ever made with a full budget behind him. It has its moments, but that's exactly the problem. Far too episodic. Even Disney thought it lacked 'heart' and is basically uninvolving if rather pretty... Hence why the film isn't in the Platinum / Diamond release line... unless those rumours about it replacing Aladdin are true. In which case, what the ****?

Tim Burton is a druggie. I also hate that bitch (Anne something) with big eyes.

Uh, Alice.

Great cast lineup in this. Yeah, Johnny Depp is pretty overrated. But Crispin Glover? Stephen Fry? Alan Rickman? ****ing spot on.

However, Burton is so hit and miss and so completely formulaic at this point that I have very little faith in him. And I really hate the art style, so we'll see what happens.

Tim Burton films are all crap. I have this on high authority from the creator of the universe himself, who revealed to me his disgust for Burton in a dream I had years ago after eating some cheese I found at the back of the fridge. They are all shat, with different actors but in the same make-up. Except Bonham-Carter who permanently looks like a crack whore anyway. They are all cliched fairground funhouse goth art student jizz fests, that many fine actors are so overqualified to act in they must be doing it for charity.
So he said.

I don't think he's overrated at all, just overused. Depp is a fantastic actor.

No, Samuel L Jackson is overused. Seth Rogen and Will Ferrell are approaching that.

Depp hasn't really been in that many movies. The Pirates Trilogy, Sweeney Todd, Corpse Bride, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Secret Window, From Hell, and Sleepy Hollow are like the only movies he's done in the past 10 years.

Unless you meant overused by Burton, in which case I do agree.

Am I the only one who thinks johnny depp looks like elija wood (the guy who played frodo) in the first pic?

er... The Libertine and Once upon a time in Mexico... and lots of voice acting for toons n stuff.

But no, he isn't overused - seriously underused, if anything. He is always typecast as a Burton regular which can only damage his reputation.

Yeah, I meant overused by Burton. His best performances have been in movies where Burton was not involved. Although, I wish Burton would make more original films in the vein of Big Fish, which is easily my favorite movie from him.

long time since movie stills have WOWed me like this.....
can't wait to see a teaser/trailer!!

This is pretty much my opinion, but add more soft-hearted Ennui love. Burton's been slipping his past few films (except Sweeney Todd), I hope this will redeem him. Regardless I'll enjoy this because I want to have dirty buttsex with Johnny Depp.

I have the same problem with Tim Burton films. But this just looks awesome.

You know...aside from the way the Mad Hatter looks there was almost nothing I didn't enjoy about that trailer.

The Looking Glass Wars will be an infinitely better movie though.

Looks like standard Tim Burton fare, which I'm getting very tired of.

If you want real creepy, imaginative, dark films, try David Lynch or Terry Gilliam. Tim Burton looks like a wannabe in comparison to those two (not completely dissing Burton, but after Chocolate Factory, he started to go downhill).

Ah it's been removed, any other links for this?

EDIT: found one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzRzo7L7TNQ

It looks quite meh and why is johnny depp getting the most screen time and front billing when he's not the main character? Plus what is with all the freaking 3d stuff recently? I thought that fad died a slow painful death why is it back? :flame:

EDIT 2: I just found out that it's a sequel I assumed this was a remake O_O Plus alan rickman and stephen fry are in it :) but so's matt lucas >_>
