The city of sin...ahh this should be fun.

I'm currently pulling an all nighter (5:45 now) so I can be up in time to head to the airport. I've gotta get packed still, go get a haircut, and buy a few last minute provisions *shampoo and body wash, ran out today! D:*

Since I've had no job, I'm kinda running low on cash. Hopefully I'm only going to spend ~$200, since that will leave me about 200 left to pay some bills *cell and insurance*. Hopefully I come back with some decent money..but that's everybody elses same words, and they come back empty handed.

Any body been there yet? I hear there are people giving cards to strip clubs on every corner. I feel like I'm going to be comming back with alot of paper. :P
 
Well that's like $50 a day, and that's around £25 which is what I spend on an average night out here. Las Vegas will be me much more expensive!

Counting cards doesn't get you very far these days... ever since they started using larger and larger shoes.
 
In the show Las Vegas they show a leagal whore house just outside the city, somehow because of its location its legal. Dont know if it was true or just for the show but if you find it please tell us! :D

Penny slots are quite the rage nowadays - you can play one penny at a time if you want, but you aren't likely to win anything. The max bets for a penny game usually range around $5 (which is what you need to win anything on those games). You'll be hard pressed to find a modern casino without penny slots.

I go to Las Vegas regularly for business meetings. If you walk down the strip, you will definitely be accosted by people handing out 'flyers' for strip clubs and/or hookers.

I hear Las Vegas is extremely hot and humid all the time, so they have air conditioning in every single building. When you walk past a shop you feel cool, then theres a gap and you suffocate, then another shop and its alllllllll fine again. Sounds like good fun. Also due to that amount of AC, there are clouds which float above Vegas all the time, like pets :) Enjoy your trip. "Hey, i need a ride!"

Been to Vegas once. The great thing about it that everything there is dead cheap except for the gambling, booze and women.

$200 could probally get you a really cheap hooker for about an hour.
 
I went there last summer. I'm not 21, though, so I couldn't do anything fun. God luck over there, buddy. Remember to take a lot of water when you're going outside, coz it's like 45C constantly.

I know Vegas is hot, but I don't think it's very humid seeing as it's in the desert and far from the Pacific or Gulf of Mexico. I've been to west Texas/New Mexico, and it's a dry heat that is much more bearable than the saturated air here along the Gulf of Mexico. That said, tourists and people not used to heat will probably drop dead in the street anyway.

Exact opposite, it's COLD and DRY AS HELL!!!!!!!

I swear to god, every time I touched a door inside of ANY building, a nice, fat blue spark would bolt out of my finger and into the doorknob, and i'd jump back. It's not like a normal static buzz from walking on the carpet, they were PAINFUL D:

It's been a year or so, and I STILL hessitate when opening a door, even at home :(
 
Well, I'm done with my trip! I'm in the Las Vegas Airport waiting for my plane to board in another hour and a half. It was mad fun. I only spent $100, those of you who said I needed more money, hell, only if I wanted to go to the over-priced shows/spend all my money on gamblin'. Spent about $50 on the slots, and the rest on souvies. Spend alot of time walking around doing sight-seeing. Hell, almost 400 pictures of Vegas. So much to see, though I'm glad I'm returning home...this place burns you out in a decent time.

I'm going to try to host a few pictures when I get them uploaded to Imageshack, but until then..*sigh* relaxation.

Sounds like you had a good time.

Planning on Vegas either this coming spring break or right after spring semester. It's gonna be like 4 days long and we are all 21 so we are going to spend a lot more than you did on drinks and gambling but DAMN is it going to be fun.

Hell, drinks were cheap. As long as your at the slots, free drinks. Hell, I had at least $50 in free beer, since it's like 4-8 bucks per bottle. D: Gambling is ok, but it's just mostly impossible to come back with more money than you went...but hey, I consider gambling a form of entertainment, so I don't expect to win anything..just something to have fun with and needing to be paid to have said fun.

You're supposed to tip the girls that come by, from time to time if you take a drink. Not always necessarily... but what harm can a 1 dollar tip be to a drink that is free to you and would normally cost more? :P

By the way... you'd have a better time winning money just by playing the field in craps, or placed bets, than doing slots usually. You have to stay there for a LONG time to really win much at slots. I hate slots.

Meh, like I said, I didn't really give a rats ass about winning money, because I knew I wouldn't. No use going in with high hopes of winning, because 99% of the time, you won't...

Actually... you'd be surprised that you do actually win in a casino. However... the longer you stay, the better your chances of losing it get.

This is depending on what you play however, and how you play. You generally go up before you go down. At least, I do.
