Looks like Conan O'Brien may be leaving NBC. I don't blame him. What a bunch of assholes NBC and Jay Leno are. If Jay Leno had any dignity at all, he'd bow the **** out already.

I expected that something like this would happen after Comcast took over.

It would be an embarrassment for Conan to accept a move back, although it'd be a step up for Leno because his new show sucks.

In his statement, addressed to "People of Earth," O'Brien said: "For 60 years The Tonight Show has aired immediately following the late local news.

"I sincerely believe that delaying The Tonight Show into the next day to accommodate another comedy program will seriously damage what I consider to be the greatest franchise in the history of broadcasting - The Tonight Show at 12.05am simply isn't The Tonight Show.

"I cannot express in words how much I enjoy hosting this program and what an enormous personal disappointment it is for me to consider losing it. My staff and I have worked unbelievably hard and we are very proud of our contribution to the legacy of The Tonight Show. But I cannot participate in what I honestly believe is its destruction." The famously pompadoured comedian ended his lengthy statement by saying: "I am truly sorry about my hair. It's always been that way."

Anyway, yes- just like last time the tonight show changed host, NBC is going to **** someone genuinely funny over in favour of Leno, who is an unfunny vacuous gasbag.

You know what else is simple? Putting a link in your OP and maybe a few summary sentences so that people don't have to do all the research themselves. It's simple to not be lazy. It's also pretty simple to not report other people's posts just because they're calling you on your laziness.
 
conan is the best late night host and leno is washed out, so NBC is clearly run by a bunch of dipshits.

This has been a highly publicized event for days now. How the **** does this require research? Neither one of these douchbags gives a shit what's being discussed here nor have they contributed anything to the conversation. They just came here to post their pointless crap as usual and incite another flame war. But thanks for letting me know that spam is welcome nowadays on these forums. I'll be sure to keep that in mind.

Leaving why? Because he has a drug problem? Because Leno beat him up? Because he wants to pursue a career in action films? Because an NBC exec ****ed his mother? The most the topic post explained was that some celebrity is leaving the network, and yours certainly didn't help a damn.
 
I for one support higher quality threads on this forum. In order to achieve this, OP's need to be informative and set up a good discussion, for current affairs a link is usually imperative.

I don't really know who Conon O'brien is nor much about the 'tonight show'. A link would have been courteous and made this thread better than it is now. No-bodies perfect, some of my threads are self admittedly shit.

However, Twixx, your response has been rude, arrogant and just makes you look like a horrid person.

You seriously think nobody would mind if every thread on the forums were like this? Stern posting shit about some kid dying without citing a source and just saying "GTFO if you don't know what I'm talking about." Yeah, I can see that working.

Anyway, SORRY for being curious about something posted on a forum of which I am a member. I guess I'll just leave the thread since I'm obviously out of the ****ing loop.
 
I agree with Vegeta on this one. This thread sucks. I vote for a Do-Over thread that isnt posted by Twwix or Stardog because they have no idea how to do it.

These forums are not your personal messengers where you talk to only people who you want to talk with, so try letting other people have a clue as to what you're going on about.

With the information contained in a relevant link posted by the OP, people could formulate an idea of whats going on and thus, they could contribute...wait for it.... their opinions. Which is what discussions are based on.
