In no particular order:

1. Dante (Devil May Cry Series)
-Just plain badass. The silver hair makes him look sweet. He's a devil for christs sake...automatically on the list

2. Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII)
-Did someone say Buster Sword?! Cloud too is a badass. Most badass character to wear purple ever.

3. Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid Series)
-Yet another badass (yes it's a trend). He's a badass with a heart of gold (name that reference!). A soldier with depth and a knack for being around a damn good story.

4. Master Chief (Halo 1 - Not Halo 2 because he throws grenades like a little girl ...ok the armor from Halo 2 can come..)
-Sweet armor. He's a cool character to take control of and blast covenant baddies with. Doesn't say any more than needs to be said.

5. Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII & Dirge of Cerberus)
-He's another cool character. I look forward to playing him in Dirge of Cerberus and I loved having him in my party in FF7. Only downside is him being uncontrollable when he goes into his limit breaks.

1. Solid snake (MG / MGS games )

Why? Check out this post.

I've played practically every Metal gear game, except for Metal gear: Solid snake, and that newfangled Ac!dy game.

2. Cloud strife (FF7)

why? The secretive, yet talented warrior. He keeps his past locked away, and only takes intrest in himself. That is, untill he hooks up with a freelance group called "Avelanche"...

I've completed Final Fantasy 7 about 4 times. That's a lot of hours...

3. Arthas (Warcraft 3)

Why? He starts off as the son of the king. He is holy, beloved, honoured. But his fight to avenge his homeland leads him down a dark and dangerous path... and he emerges... something else.

I've only completed the WC3 campaign three times (not many times seeing as it's significantly shorter than an RPG such as FF7)

4. My WoW character, sui.

After all... he is my evil alias. I shape him, mould him... help him along the way. Presently he feels angered by other races... he despises them for being able to live, breath, love and even die. He curses this state of undeath he must live through every day... The cold, dampening feeling that burdens him and drags him down, crowding his mind and locking him in a claustraphobic state of pain... which is why he vows to rise above his lesser "friends" (a word he uses lightly but has no real meaning to him), and make everyone acknowledge his existance.

This current character I've played over 9 days playing (yes, that's a lot of hours...) but if you add together all the other characters, it's probally about 15 days ( about 350 hours!! ).

5. RAIDEN (metal gear solid 2)

NOTICE THE SEVERE LACK OF TESTICLES.

OK, this is a joke. Raiden is possibly the worst character in existence, In actual fact he would be bottom on my list, but I thought this would be funny.
