new video on trailer analysis. Looks kickass also samples more of that sweet music as well :D

I don't know about you guys but this is know my number one most anticipated game for the rest of the year (i never thought i'd ssee the day were I would look forward to an EA game so much :p )

I can't wait either, and am more reassured after seeing that footage. The real test will be when we get to experience whether the game really does capture the sense of momentum, friction etc that Dice was going on about in early previews.

Here's some snippets of info I typed out from an old edge preview for anyone who may be interested - click

Neat, this is really one of my most anticipated titles. I have high hopes for this. Not only because its trying something new but because im a huge fan of Parkour.

Aren't you anticipating all games with flashy graphics Asuka?:p

Also, Sedako, that scarred me deeply.:(

Yeah, this is one of my top three most anticipated games, along with Far Cry 2 and Left 4 Dead. Any bets on how exactly EA will eventually screw it up, though? Microtransactions? DRM? Yearly sequels? All three?

Why Fallout 3? It'll be nowhere near as good as Fallout 1(Or 2 for that matter).:(

I'm surprised at the fact you don't love every game asuka :p jk

I'm kidding, I'm looking forward to or at least keeping my eye on most of those games :)

AHA-Lambda, don't be nice or respectful to Asuka, or I am gonna have to spank you later tonight.

You never? Shame, I suggest you don't let Fallout 3 be your first impression of the franchise, seeing as it isn't being written by the original writers etc and thus probably won't follow the established Fallout canon very well.

Same I haven't played fallout before either. I've never been a fan of isometric views personally :|

I've tried time and time again to get into Fallout but the turn-based combat just keeps putting me off.
If it controlled more like say, Diablo or even Neverwinter Nights I'd probably like it even more.
But atm, it plays like a chess game... moving from tile to tile and the like.(atleast I think that's how it played.)

You guys have made me lose faith in HalfLife2.net, hope you're pleased with yourselves.

Sorry :(

Can't say I ever got into diablo either actually (or a bunch of other famous games but i had better not list them for fear of a further loss of respect from Gargantou for this website :p)

There's a time limit to really experience a game like Fallout. It doesn't matter how great these games were at the time, if someone sees them today for the first time they'll look (and in some repescts, play) ropey as hell - even more so if they weren't gaming around the time they were released. It's the same with OoT, SS2 etc - these games have qualities that can still be appreciated, but the 'omg, this is the best ****ing game ever' has passed on.

I'm not like that, but then again, I am a special gamer, I play all games and enjoy'em fully, no matter graphics, and I'm only 18.

I still play DOS games from the mid 80s with like CGA graphics that look awful as hell, but I have no problem at all experiencing, enjoying or getting into'em.

But as I said, I'm a very special person, I'm like the progenitor of the masterrace of gamers.:)*Arrogance<3*

Don't get me wrong, I like the art style of Fallout... I just can't get into the tile-based movement and the turn-based portion of it.

I like turn-based strategy games like Civ, but when it comes to RPGs... I just can't get into it.

Spot on.

Granted, 2D games withstand the test of time better than it's 3D counterparts but like you said, to most people who enjoy these type of games for the first time, it won't have the same magic as it did to others before. For the people who've already enjoyed it once, they won't mind re-treading through mainly because the feeling of nostalgia clouds their mind and creates a bias view. You remember this game being the 'best game ever' and your mind will likely replay it as such, allowing you to re-immerse yourself and avoid any faults that would stop most new players.

I'm guilty of this whenever I re-play games I once thought were "omg best games ever".

wow, I never realized there was such a long thread on HL2.net about ME!
Makes me feel all warm inside that you all like it so much :)

I wish it were that easy, I don't think they would like it much after leaking something at dice :)
