*Dr. Smoov's Optimus Prime video*
Gettin' real tired of seeing this all the time. Gettin' reaaaaally tired.

Let's hope this one has some Transformers in it and doesn't focus on a cast of moron soldiers and annoying adolescents!

There are going to be forty robots in this movie, Warbie. FORTY.

That was my hope, until I saw the the second exclusive picture showing those two irritating precocious teenage brats who Optimus respects so greatly. I really can't deal with another generic teen romance plot thrown in between robots fighting, it's distasteful tripe.

Aye. If you watch the cartoon you get great big scenes with Transformers talking together - their characters actually being developed. Is there any of this in the movie. Nope, not one bit. I doubt there will be in the sequel :/

Lol no you don't. Which cartoon are you talking about? You aren't talking about G1 that's for sure. G1 had the old "everything resets back to status quo at the end of the episode" thing, so none of the characters ever really developed. A lot of the time too the messages in the show would be unclear or would be negated later on (see Fire in the Sky or The Golden Lagoon for examples of that).

The only cartoons where the characters have developed were Beast Wars. *Cough*And Armada/Energon*cough*
You know you love it you dirty, dirty, DIRTY boy!
I hate it. It rags on Rodimus too much and EVERYBODY and their mother quotes that damn video when they're jabbing at Rodimus Prime. Here's a newsflash: Optimus Prime didn't stop the war in over 4 million years. Rodimus stopped it in like two seconds by throwing Galvatron like a ragdoll. No pantsing around with him, no "mercy," he CHUCKED GALVATRON INTO SPACE, BLEW UP A GOD, AND BROUGHT PEACE TO CYBERTRON.

I hate that video. HATE.

Awesome, I hope it sucks as much as the last film!

I really want to know what kind of social groups you are involved with if you know people who quote youtube videos to rag on Rodimus Prime.

Maybe developed was the wrong word, but at least there were plenty of scenes in each episode with Transformers chatting to each other. They were the stars, the interesting part. Who gives a crap what generic human charatcer x has to say? (especially in the movie, which had a truly, truly awful cast). My gripe with the film is that, other than the action sequences, we get no time at all with the Tranformers. I want interaction goddamnit - planning stuff, scheming, arguing, you know, doing all the shit they do in the cartoons, but there was NONE of it.

Oh, I really can't stress how crap the cast is in Tansformers. How painful it was having to sit and watch them while waiting to see some ****ing Transformers!

I thought that was great! Building the suspense for the epic entrance to earths atmosphere. **** i'm going to watch that scene again!!!

The thing is Warbie, with the first movie you couldn't have it all about the Transformers. Even the cartoon didn't immediately jump into the Transformers themselves, and a lot of times in the series you'd have a whole ton of human moments, or humans-interacting-with-Transformers moments. Do you remember how often Chip Chase and Spike Witwicky were onscreen?

Leave it to the sequels to have more robot facetime.

Awesome, I hope it sucks as much as the last film!

Go away.

This is gonna be ****ing sweet. The original neared mindless awesome action perfection, and it looks like this one will be even closer.

They need James Cameron on the next movie if they want to save it. And have Shia crushed by a house.

This film features the forums favourite man:

Shia Labeouf
:hmph:

I have yet to receive a valid explanation on why every one seems to hate him with a fiery passion.

I find it deliciously ironic that the original cartoon has more substance than the feature film ...the fact that the cartoon seemed written by a committee of toy executives without an ounce of creativity between them is the icing on the proverbial cake

Please Michael Bay, live up to the original material and provide us with something equally wretched ..you know you're more than up for the task

"more explosions, we need MORE explosions!!!"

When did people stop liking explosions?

That's a true story. You 'bout to cross some mother****in' lines.

I really can't think of a Tropic Thunder line that could adequately reply to that.

actually my comment was from ghostbusters, I havent seen tropic thunder yet

My comment was from Tropic Thunder. I was well aware of the Ghost Busters reference.

I was not aware of your Tropic Thunder reference

Transformers ****in ruled....I don't remember anything from the cartoons growing up and I could care less if the movies stray from any plot portrayed in the past.

Can't wait for the second.
