Well, I know the lot of you didn't like the first movie anyway, but I loved it--a fact some of you *cough* have used to take pot shots at me. But nothing anything anyone could have ever said could change my mind about the first live action movie, and because it was so good my faith in the second movie was unshakable.

Even when they showed off an ice cream truck robot.

Even when Shia is going to become super smart from exposure to the matri--er, allspark.

Even when pictures of resurrected Megatron started to surface.

Even with all that stupid shit, I kept repeating, "It's ok, it's going to be a good movie. It can still be a good movie!" But not anymore, because rumor has it that Isabel Lucas is in the movie--as a pretender.

My heart is literally breaking. Even if it's just a rumor, you don't understand. This is like season 3 all over again, and Riomhaire is probably the only guy who'll get what I mean. The pretenders single-handedly destroyed the toyline. They are the worst thing in Transformers ever created and their very existence should have been buried deep underground. And then that section of ground should've been excavated, put on a spaceship and shot into a black hole.

A pretender is a transformer hiding in an organic shell. Isabel Lucas is going to be a terminator. A terminator with a laser gun arm. A terminator with a laser gun arm and a radar tentacle. A terminator with a laser gun arm, radar tentacle, and a long tongue for who knows what reason, other than to make robosexuals horny. And there may or may not be a tiny robot inside this terminatrix shell, piloting it.

I know that the lot of you are probably thinking, "Well the first movie was shit anyway and I knew this one would be too," but to me, this is like getting raped on Christmas. All hope of it being a good movie is gone. I can only pray her character gets destroyed in a horrible way, preferably a trash compactor or being fed through a wood chipper.

I don't know about you guys, but I loved the pretenders.

I don't know about you guys, but I didn't get 99% of that post.

(I loved the movie by the way. I also loved cloverfield, though everybody else in the milky way galaxy seems to think it was a craptastic piece of crap covered crap, and some popular youtube reviewer called it an "ass sandwich that tasted like putrid puss spewing vomit, and don't even ask me how I know what that tastes like." I thought the movies were amazing, though I didn't care for either of the endings.)

Who the **** thought transformers sucked? Seriously, I want to know what movies are "good" to them if transformers SUCKED.

So now it's going to be Transformers meets One Tree Hill and Terminator.

I enjoyed the action in the first movie - my inner child whooping when robots I used to love collided in battle - but thought it pretty much lacked in every other regard.

What transformers movie? There was that Megan Fox the movie, with some robots in between ab shots
but I ain't seen no Transformers movie yet.

And I will be there to catch your tears of bitter disappointment.

In my mouth.

I've never commented on transformers on these forums before, but I fail to see how the film had one good thing about it? I loved transformers as a kid, I had every toy and I went to see it with huge expectation of awesome robots kicking arse.

You get the basic cheesy teenager storyline which is painful, a kid trying to hide his association with the autobots "optimus mind the patio, don't break it!". Excuse me...he's a massive robot leader, he doesn't care about your garden. And lastly, the fighting and action sequences were just random polygons moving too fast on the screen to work out what was happening. The camera angles for some reason zoomed right in at points and everything was so fast it just looked like a vacuum cleaner fighting a microwave oven. I was so disappointed by it, it actually still hurts me now :(

I'm surprised they made enough money at the box office to justify doing a second film.

I love how you made a full blown statement saying something will suck, when you have only been able to seen a few clips and pictures from a movie. If you make assumptions about every movie that does this, you must hate A LOT of movies.

I thought it sucked. So did a ton of other people. Unless you're a fanboy who has wanted to blow Optimus since you were like, 4, it's a pretty established opinion that it was a lousy movie.

It was an awesome movie. AWESOME. And I only saw like 4 episodes of the cartoon.

It wasn't good. It wasn't deep. It wasn't inspirational or moving. It was simply AWESOME.

Darkseid's lack of hope for the sequel is disturbing, but I have no idea what he's talking about, so I'll keep believing.

Maybe Megatron being rebuilt could work, you know, if he's as batshit insane as Galvatron was :p

Edit: I still love the original catroon and to a lesser extent the original film and I still think the new Tranformers film sucked.

Edit2: But I read that Soundwave is going to be in this film. Soundwave! You can't go wrong with Soundwave! dontmentioncybertrondontmentioncybertron

I saw the first Transformers yesterday.

It was good.

IMO it's fantastic up until Starscream dies but then goes down hill a bit.

It could have been much better, though. The human charatcers were soooo cheesey and annoying - it was a master class in how to create characters that it's impossible to give a crap about.

I was a big fan of Transformers as a kid and loved (still do ;)) the animated movie. When compared to that, this version of Transformers sucks huge balls. There was far more time spent amoungst the Transformers in the animated shows - it was about them, they were the stars. There was bugger all time spent with them in the movie - we got no real insight other than that they're big robots that can transform - and far too much time spent with an utterly terrible cast. Even John Turturro couldn't save the day.

Still, great action scenes.

Great action scenes eh? I wish I had seen them.

I never watched Transformers before (although there was like a month where I watched Beast Wars everyday), and I liked the movie. SUCK ON THAT BICTHAES.

Yeah, try pronouncing that word. You can't.

On a serious note, the first Transformers film was atrocious on every level of atrocity.

Transformers was typical brainless Bay output. Fun at times if you don't take it at all seriously but so very bad in many ways.

Transformers is incredibly enjoyable.

Transformers was nauseatingly bad. Literally. The characters annoyed me to the point of giving me a headache, and if that wasn't bad enough, the action scenes were so ****ing dizzying that I felt like throwing up by the time it ended. The only feeling it left me with (besides queasiness) was rage... mostly towards the person who told me I "sooooo had" to see it at the cinema.

ME GRIMLOCK.

You assholes. Movie was good. Go watch your intellectual art films.

Psh, a movie doesn't have to be intellectual for me to like it, a movie has to be GOOD for me to like it. I enjoy all sorts of mindless action pish posh, but the movie was just terrible.

Shaking Camera Syndrome like never before, so even the action sequences (what a movie like this should be about) sucked.

**** it. Just let me enjoy explosions in peace.

Is most of this information rumours?

If so, you're getting all butthurt over nothing

Wait until it actually comes out.

**** it. Just let me enjoy explosions in peace.

I suppose this is a bad time to say that I liked Pear Harbour? A movie which is considered atrocious by many people, but I like it. However that aside, I still hate Transformers...
