Two friends at once, because you only pay for yourself once. :)

God these are fun.

Joule: I know I edited my post, but I thought the edit was before he posted. Sorry for the explosion. No problems here. :)

You would die.

No oxygen. You wouldn't burn either...

You couldn't light a match, right? Oxygen is needed.

You can't strike a match without oxygen.

Vegeta escaped from jail and headed to the country. While walking home along a rural road, he saw a police car speeding towards him. Vegeta ran towards it for a short time and then fled into the woods. Why did he run toward the car?

Yup.

Got one:
Take 1000. Add 40. Add another 1000. Add 30. 1000 again. Plus 20. Plus 1000. And plus 10. What is the total?

Hmmm... It must have something to do with the police car coming from an urban area... or something like that...

Edit: 5000?

Hmmmmmmmm.... That's a toughy... his birthday is on Dec 30 or Dec 31? And the current day is Jan first?

...

The statement was made on december 31st . therefore Gordon freeman was 29 the day before yesterday (december 30th), he was 30 yesterday(december 31st), and later this year he will be 31. Therefore it stands to reason that next year , our good friend mr freeman will be 32.

so vegeta you was right , lol

cya tomoro all, its been fun :P night. :D
Thanks for the riddles. I had fun.

Well, I guess it's time for me to go too. Good luck everyone else.

Here's a harder one.

Imagine four islands out at sea, placed as such:

Code:
o_____o
| |
| |
o_____o

The horizontal and vertical distance between any two islands is "10". In other words, the four islands are on the corners of a square, of length 10.

You want to connect all four islands together with a series of bridges. All four islands have to be connected, but not necessarily to each other.

What is the most efficient way to connect all four islands? The bridges do not have to start or end at an island, and can run anywhere.

Example:

o-----o
|
|
o-----o

Cost is 30.

i got 1 too...

"How many times do the Hour and Minute hand cross each other in a twelve hour period?"

(Start at 12:00 noon and count that as once)

If you read the statement thoroughly and correctly, it says Marie's father. Therefore, Marie must be the fifth daughter.
