trigger door to open

put a trigger_multiple volume on one side

edit: btw googling "camera showing all black" probably won't yield a vast number of door trigger tutorials.

not working

I put the trigger where the player would walk into it. I put the parent as the name of the door. However, the door did not open.

I am using a block I converted to a trigger_multiple.

In the flags, Clients is checked.
 
try outputs instead of parenting. i think parenting only allows two objects to move with eachother.
 
Yeah outputs are for triggers and logic, parenting is to assign motion.
 
hvnt played with doors for awhile but i belive there is a one way tick box under flags? never tried it but figured it would make the door only passable from one side?

just did a test and it only opened from one side with the distance set to 130, worked fine...opened from one side to 130 degrees and wouldnt budge from the back...

check out snarkpit (not sure on the web addy but google it and it should show) im sure they have a trigger door tut and just base it off that and edit a little. playing around you will eventually get it (and possibly learn something in the meantime) :)
