Agree, I mean they could even come out on say the 25th or 28th and say "Well folks, we know we said the 30th, but we will not be releasing it until Oct. 10th" or somewhere along those lines. We just don't know yet.

I swear it's Valves plan to be quiet.

Aren't we all excited? Imagine when it comes out on the 30th. When we install it we will explode. This is there plan all along.

In regards to any form of delays. People should find comfort when the last official date is 30th September and Valve haven't said anything else. Especially a week before the 30th.

A company wouldn't be this lame to delay it now and tell the biggest gaming community 'sorry we said 30th but it's now delayed'

Yeah, but then we'd be getting hundreds of annoying "I told you so" & "I lost faith in Valve" threads. Which will be a thousand times worse than the actual delay.

Indeed. But then again, they have done that before. Steam 1.0 release anyone? Sure its not exactly as big as a game being released...but it does speak towards their communication when it comes to release. If there's one reason for the game being delayed, I'd say it'll probably be because of Steam.

It's not that they haven't announced gold yet thats trouble, it's that we still, 9 days before the supposed release date, have NO information at all about some important aspects of the game (such as multiplayer).

oh and to that guy who asked when the delay threads will stop;

The threads will stop once we actually get something new to discuss, such as a gold announcement, or a solid, CONFIRMED release date.

I think their hesitation comes from normal fears about a release blowing up in their faces by users flooding them with complaints about technical issues. Steam, whatever its state of readiness, compounds this fear two-fold.
