University

Lol my high horse, need I remind the ladies and gentlemen of the house of the recent 'students are twats' thread posted by yours truly.

thats a matter of fact though, you'll realise yourself when you arrive at uni. think of it as a bunch of nob heads whose parents have restricted them from ever drinking until experiencing the freedom of uni life, throw in a traffic cone or two and a load of horny posh fat slags looking for cock and then there you have it...

UNIVERSITY.

pity they don't word it like that in the brochures though

I won't be going to uni, but my brother's at Durham. He got into Oxford, though.

Aber...D:

I feel for you gick :naughty:

Whats that supposed to mean?

Man, why do I know so many people at Aberystwyth uni? It's crazy. There's like ten of them.

Its popular because its unspeakably awesome (as far as I can tell from the times ive been down there to visit friends) and it has the highest student satisfaction rating of any Welsh university. The only downside I can think of is having to hide my England shirt when the rugby's on.

Yorks nightlife sucks donkey balls. 4 clubs, all utter rubbish. Good pubs mind you.

best thing about it though is the number of bars on campus, meaning you can do a cheap crawl.

Yeah, I've ever been clubbing in York, only to pubs..

'Tis only 20 mins from Cardiff, so I can come visit you sometimes and we can LAN it up.
And no idea what campus I'll be on. Hopefully the All-girl one.

Yay :D

<3 Dekky

Haha! True true! :p

Lol, the only decent Welsh Uni's in my mind are Cardiff, Glamorgan, Swansea and of course my UWIC :D

All of those Universities suffer from the terrible fact that they are in wales...

:D

Reviving cos all of you should know for sure now.

I'll be at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill :D

I'm so hardcore, I havn't gone yet.

Being 22, time is starting to get short for it :( Damn requirements of a full time job.

Actually, is anyone here going to Wolverhampton uni this year?

I can't apply until october, but I'm going to try to get into Rice, Caltech, Carnigie Melon, MIT and Stanford...but I probably wont make it in to any of those :x

I will then have to fall back on UT, Texas Tech, University of Michigan and some school my dad has been talking about in georgia.

Thats cool, I used to go there all the time when my Aunt lived there. (In Chapel Hill)

Tommorow, my last year will officially be over. \o/

Now I need to find a job. >.<

Well, I'm actually still deciding, but Northeastern is apparently giving me a 10k-per-year scholarship... so that changes things a bit :p

Brock University for computing and network communications. You get a degree and a diploma after 4 years. :D

i got accepted to all the colleges i applied to.

Purdue University- West Lafayette
University of Illinois @ Chicago
University of Illinois @ Urbana Champaign
University of Wisconsin - Madison
Illinois Institute of Technology
Georgia Institute of Technology

I have decided to go to Urbana Champaign cuz its cheaper and the campus is really sexy. i plan on majoring in Materials Science and Engineering.

Wow, those are some really nice schools. I dont know what youre planning on majoring in but Purdue might be something you want to apply to because it has a really big name (which looks like a priorety of yours) but it has a freakishly large acceptance rate. Its not bad educational wise either.

I was thinking about going to a Texas school myself. I live in OK and its pretty much OSU or OU maddness. I was thinking about A&M, Tech, and UT as far as texas is concerned. I havent gotten a chance to see them yet but Im hoping to this summer.

Its my understanding that Rice> UT> A&M> Tech so Im curious as to why A&M was excluded from your list there.

Applied to Letourneau University in Texas, was accepted, going for Aeronautic major with professional flight emphasis. Can't. Fudging. Wait.

Well, not really the name, I'm looking for a good Compsci/robotics school. I excluded A&M because I hate that school, and college station is a very small, hickish type town. The only reason UT is on my list is because of their computer science program, but otherwise I dislike the school (because its so big). Tech is on there because I have relatives living in lubbock (I don't like lubbock, but the tech campus is alright) I like rice because it is small, liberal, and I like the curriculum.

I haven't really thought about purdue, but I will definatley look into it.

Son of a bitch.

Will Sulkdodds ever get into Oxford University? Will he get the grades he needs? Find out after the exam period.

I recieved my acceptance letter to the Uni of Gloucestershire on the morning i was going to get my A-level exam results.

As soon as i read it and finished getting frankly bear hugged by my mum, i didnt care what i got in my exams etc. I didnt even open the envelope, my mum told me my results and i was like 'meh'.

You think that's incredible, until you take into account that NEU costs 40k per year. Yeah :|

So, I'm actually leaning towards UMass Amherst right now. After many deliberations, it seems like I'd have a much better time there, and it's nowhere near as expensive as NEU.
