Unofficial HL2.net BC2 server

can't you have it randomize between rush and conquest? it'd be nice to mix it up

No, currently EA only supports one gamemode rotation. Meaning you can't automatically go from rush to conquest and back. You have to manually change the server from Rush to Conquest to Rush.
 
Earlier today we had a game going. We got massive lag spikes and it was horrible. Other .netter's can attest to this as well.

It was a problem with the EA servers, not our server.
 
I'm gettin' on this shit! Next month I should have some spare cash I can throw this way. Didn't realize we had a BC2 server, too bad I won't be spending a ton of time on it unless it becomes a 24/7 valparaiso server ;)
 
I'm going to ask for no more donations. With the way the server has been sitting empty as of late, I currently see no need to keep having members pay for another month.

Unless we can get this server populated.
 
You should rename it to be more descriptive of what it is and where it is, then random people will be more likely to join it. Then we can just squeeze in as we please.

Something like um... "HL2.NET All Rush Kickin Yo Ass Mcgee ( . )( . )"

You get the picture. It's like advertising for retards or something. At least we'd get people to shoot.

I haven't even been able to find it in history after playing, let alone add it to favourites. Server browser fail I guess. :(

Works for the original CoD. I reinstalled it recently and after all these years the Free Porn servers are still going strong. Plus 'Free Porn Rush' just sounds great. DO EEEET

Most importantly though we just need to keep it populated and draw in some regulars. I'm pretty out of the loop on the whole Steam community thing but if we could just get a group of people on there most nights the server will be full in no time.

We just have to get a good chunk of people in and it will self perpetuate as long as it doesn't randomly go to conquest or get super laggy... They might start leaving when I'm owning them, but new ones will come. Maybe someday it will be so popular you'll have to reserve a spot for me ;)


If push comes to shove and shove comes to stupid, we can make it always run just the most popular rush maps... not that there are really that many. Hey does it run the new one that's in um... Laguna Presa or whatever? The Damn map? That is a fun map and I haven't played it since the first day it came out.
 
This is 10 bucks at Best Buy. Worth getting?

You will probably enjoy it now only if you play with friends/people who communicate in a squad. Playing by yourself can be a frustrating experience.
