Wow...

I'm ashamed of myself. I really lost it earlier & acted like a total ass to my wife. 5 days ago I ordered a cheap, though highly rated Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System from Newegg because I needed a unit for our 36' TV that blew it's speakers 30 seconds after the warranty expired & since the Logitech unit literally got hundreds of fantastic reviews, I was eager to get them & hook them up.

Well I had been checking the UPS website daily, following my orders status & today it was scheduled for delivery & as luck would have it, I had the day off from work. Earlier this morning, I checked the UPS website & it said my order was "Out For Delivery" Great! Well by 8pm, I knew something was wrong so I checked the website again & it said that my package had been delivered.

WTF? No it wasn't. I was home all day.

So I called the UPS number on my e-mail tracking reciept & the lady I spoke to was very nice & so I was nice in return. After getting shuffled around a bit, I was finally told I would be called directly by the driver who delivered my package first thing tomorrow morning, which I was happy with. Well, not even 5 mins later I get a call from the local UPS processing center & after being apologized to once again, I was given a # to call during normal business hours & was told that it was basically my responsibility to call it to resolve my "issue" seeing as their system stated that the package had already been delivered "To my porch".

Something snapped upstairs & I just lost it. I was Pissing & moaning all over the house & when my wife asked me what I had ordered, I said it didn't matter & so of course she kept asking, which pushed me even further over the edge into immaturity. So I said some unkind things & basically vented at her for something that had nothing to do with her & once I cooled down, POST being an ass, I realized that her questions were not nagging, just curious as to what I had ordered that would make me so upset for it not arriving.

So the time I have to call is the time I have to leave for work. My luck will be the driver delivered to the wrong house & now i'll have to take it up with both UPS & Newegg & I'll still end up being without the speakers.

I'm still really, really mad & the dumb thing is, the speakers only cost $25. I can't believe I was being an ass for a measly $25!! Perhaps if I debase myself here enough, I'll chill out.

25 dollars? Man.

I know.. Go ahead & say it...

I'm a Cheap. Ass.

The thing is, my wife does not really care for fancy electronics, so if I tried to hook up a nice surround sound system, I would get "The Look" & then she would still end up never actually turning it on. I really only got the speakers for when we watch movies, which is about once every two weeks. I don't watch TV, she does, but the bad speakers drive me nuts, though my wife tells me she can't hear anything wrong with them.

OMG.. don't even get me started on that....

Cheap ass here. Yes, I sympathize with you, but things usually work out in the end, and if they don't, this is something that you'll get over pretty quickly.

Patch things up with your wife and deal with UPS. I'm sure everything will be fine.

**** yeah, make sure she knows who wears the pants in your house. Asking questions and shit? Who the hell does she think she is?

Right on MRG, you're the man.

After getting the run-around, UPS advised me to call Newegg & tell them that the package I ordered did not arrive. UPS pretty much told me that it was out of their hands, even though they had delivered it to the wrong house .

So while on a 10 min break at work, I called Newegg & within 5 mins Newegg apologized to me that I did not get the package I ordered & that they would resend a new replacement unit while they investigated the missing package. Reason # 1,657,894,327.8 why Newegg is the only online retailer I have used for the past 10 years. They simply have fantastic customer service.

Fast forward several hours & it's now 7:00PM. While waiting for the pizza to arrive, I get a phone call. An elderly mans voice is on the line stating that a package was delivered to his house by mistake & that he had brought it over to my house earlier today, but no one had been home & he did not want to take the chance of it getting stolen & so that's why he did not leave it on my porch.

Guess what? It was my speakers. He apologized for opening the box, but he wanted to see if the invoice had my phone # on it, which it did. The speakers themselves were all still sealed within their wrapping & so it was obvious that the man was honest.

A huge & massive thanks to him.

Called Newegg & canceled my claim.

You RETARD

LOL!

Why? Because I'm honest & didn't want the elderly man to be contacted by Newegg/UPS after it was found out that it was delivered to his house instead of mine?

No. I'm not like that.

That's cool man. I've been through the phone/tech support system of UPS once - it was quite a drag.

I thought your wife was going to give you the speakers and it would of made you look like an idiot lol.

UPS delivered it to the right house, but your creepy old neighbor is planning your demise and needs all the personal information he can get about you. Clever man.
