We've got a couple of things like that around here, and I've looked through some of them.
Urban exploration seems really cool, I'm going to get some friends together sometime soon and maybe do some of it...
might be good for mapping like areas too. the sewer systems are interesting to me, and also i wish i lived in london, look about in the underground...
Friends and I have explored some massive drains before, but they generally only go back about 100-200 feet and are fairly unexciting.

No, I wasn't fighting anyone. I was simply defending myself when I had 2 guys jumping on my back because I didn't read a thread and posted something that had already been posted. They got all mad and started flaming me, and then the same guy who started the argument in the first place with his insults told me I had a bad attitude. Don't blame the fighting on me, sir.

I get to do some of the most boring Urban Exploration when I was walking around an abandoned carpark building :| Damn uninteresting.

I would be more intrigued if I am to explore a mental hospital for the criminally insane, but this one's just a lame carpark building with trashes and graffitis....and someone's boot :|

I once lived out in Moreno Valley, CA, and there was this abondoned farmhouse with HUGE green houses. So on a dare, me my best friend and his g/f come with me. Mind you, the only thing i am carrying in this HUGE machete that he bought. We just open the door to the house (it was not locked). What i saw shocked the crap out of me (no not literally). Everything was set up as if it was a normal day. Cereal boxes from the 60s were set up on the table. A milk bottle (glass) was out, so were bowls and spoons. Were pressed on, and there was an old TV and record player (he took all this). Next we went on into the master bedroom, and the bed was made up, and in the bathroom was a shaver, and some cream out + other crap. It was like the people just got up and left.... it really spooked me.
Next day, we go back into the greenhouses. All but one was dead. This one was like a jungle, there were vines, and shrubs and everything. All the sudden we hear people walking towards us. We break through deeper into the "jungle" and stay still. They walk right past where we were, talking about construction plans. 4 days later the place was razed to the ground and a tract of home was built.
To this day I havn't been able to figure out why all that stuff was still there.
By there is the March Air Reserve base. There is abandoned Enlisted mens dorms, and a Base Hospital, which looks the same way, computers are still in there, papers on the desk, pens, etc. Really creepy.
EDIT: There also is what used to be a daycare center and there is the classic rusty playground equipment. I would like to take a peek in there if the risk wasn't getting shot.
