all try to dumb it down a bit, make it more user friendly ;)

no that's being sorely shortsighted ..evey single religious, political, social and fanatical movement in iraq is fighting for control ..sure there's some Al queda but most have been recruited because of the invasion, they have little or nothing to do with osama

Yes they do. Infact, most of the Resistance and being the most popular one at that, is the Al-Sannah or Al-Sadr thing Army.

The mainstay of this group, had declared themselves to be Al-Qaeda. Whats short sighted, is that they gave us this oppertunity. Where they're was no reason before, it happens to be so now.

how many Al queda have been captured or neutralised in Iraq? 10? 100? 1000? does that justify 14,000 + civilian deaths?

Remember, even your own source states 7,000+ of that number were killed in the Coalition bombing campaign. Afterward, its been in the crossfire of Insurgent and Coalition Forces.

How many Al-Qaeda have been killed in Iraq? I'd say at least 7,000 -- 2,000 wounded.

However, the estimates place there numbers at around 20,000 or 28,000. So while thats a good shard in their membership, they're still holding strong.

so in other words "if they're in the way it's their own fault"

So in other words, re-check your sources.
