I don't think he was laughing at Americans, it's kind of like when you hate a NFL team and they lose. Just because you are making fun of them doesn't mean you hate the state (or city) they represent.

I don't think the NBA players care. They will go home to their mansions and escalades. I'm sure most of them making enough money to buy a gold medal if they really wanted it.

They could probably buy the olympics, and give them a gold medal in every single sport.

I just love how the "dream team" is never supposed to lose, and now they didn't even win the gold medal. Who knows, maybe they'll walk away in 4th place.

By the way, I wasn't really America bashing...I just love cheering for the under-dog, which was the main reason I was so happy.

I thought that episode of the Simpsons was hilarious, mainly because it was true.

And don't say "Canada sucks at every sport" because I honestly don't care, we're good at hockey...that's good enough for me.

I'd understand if you where putting your life on the line (Example: greg moore or Ayrton Senna), but hitting a ball with a stick, or throwing a ball in a net isnt exactly death-defying is it?
