Yah, North Korea's got a crazy dictator who skewes his peoples' viewpoint on everything. Plus now they have nukes and it's widely believed that they'll have soon developed the technology to reach the west coast of the U.S (They can already reach Japan). With a large majority of his people starving, uneducated, and suffering, he has nothing to lose if he starts going out of power, he could launch a war with South Korea or (he'll probably do this anyways) start selling nukes to other countries. We (US) told them to stop making nukes, and they said "No". So we showed them by saying "Huh? but we don't like you doing that."

There's other things going on in the world too. Vladimir Putin's becoming a dictator in Russia, putting his main political rival (A Russian millionaire) in prision. Also Taiwan passed a bill that proclaimed they were an independent nation sperate from China (something like that, some kind of bill China didn't like) when China told them that they really shouldn't do that. China still just considers Taiwan a rebellious territory, but they have the power to use just a small portion of their military force to take back Taiwan with war.
 
Actually a lot of people in South Korea hate North Korea. I don’t know if it is true, but some of my friends from South Korea are saying this.

Maybe they have this home made small nuke. Kitchen made nuke "for your personal pleasure"

It was made by a tvshow in nort korea and thats sick. Wonder how the reactions from the public was when this vid was showed in nort korea.

Younger South Koreans hate North Korea's governement. And many other South Koreans still have family trapped on the other side of the demilitarized zone.

They probably cheered. When I lived in Russia, people always loved to see when something bad happened to USA, while listening to the latest hit by Backstreet Boys and playing a game from Blizzard, wearing Lewis and going to McDonalds. Hypocrisy knew no boarders in Russia, but hey, it’s the way we lived. Don’t know if anything changed. Guess we still bitter about Cold War, so is North Korea.

Yeah, Kim Jon Il(Not sure I spelled that right) has, like, 600,000 South Koreans in Concentration Camps right now. At least that's the number I heard last time.
I seriously think we need to do something. And we need to stand by our own treaties, and protect Taiwan from China. Heh, even a large number of North Koreans are suffering...
Genocide is wrong, but how can you claim Ethnic CLeansing when it's your own people? It's the same as Rowanda, and many other African States...

Always found it funny, that we went to Iraq, but it is North Korea who has nukes and people in camps. I don't get why, no oil? I guess one mother ****er at the time.

Russia has more oil...Admittedly most of it is not yet economicaly viable for extraction but still..

The USA has the second largest oil reserve, more than any middle eastern country.

Perhaps though, they didnt invade Iraq, surely this will only benefit the iraqi people who will be selling it to the americans.

Um, you didn't know that America seized all oil spots, which were owned by Saddam, after liberating Iraq? But again, nobody is going to start billion $ war just to liberate someone, there must be some profit from it.
As for Russia, I don't get your analogy or what you wanted to say. It is not like Russia has some crazy dictator on the throne and aiming nukes at USA.

Farrow is correct, Russia has large amounts of oil, but (I believe) most of it lies under frozen tundra in Siberia. Extracting it and setting up pipelines would require money that Russia doesn't have.

I also remember reading a statement a while back made by a Russian official. I can't remember if it was the President, maybe it was Putin maybe I really can't remember. Anyway this person stated that if provided with the resources Russia would be willing to flood the market with crude oil, thereby making it very cheap. Again maybe I remembering the details incorrectly, somone help me out here if I am.

Sometimes, I wonder what will happen to the countries of the future whose economies are dependent upon oil exports. Countries such as Venezuela or Saudi Arabia who have been able to improve their nations as a whole because of the wealth generated from the oil. When the oil runs out (possibly after I am dead), will their economies collapse? Will they lose the resources to run an efficient country?

Interesting to think about.
 
It's funny how people seem to think the US Govt. is so stupid, when yet we're the one with billions in reserve oil interests. My father used to work out in the Oil Fields, and he told me that at one point Halliburton would cap off a well if they weren't getting 500 barrels a day from it...that was here in Texas alone, we have thousands upon thousands of oil wells...imagine how much reserve that is(In Texas alone.) And this was all during the supposed "Oil Crisis" in the 80's.

If anyone is stupid, it's the countries that are selling themselves to us. When the time comes that barely anyone has oil, we'll be even more on top.
The United States is far smarter than a lot of people give it credit for.

We harvest the resources of other countries(By harvest I mean we buy it...It's not like we go out and steal it.), and keep ours to ourselves.
Now does that really sound that stupid?

Since when does a music video reflect the whole attitude of an entire country? I know that MTV's music videos don't reflect my thoughts on anything. I assume when you say 1 child per household laws you are talking about North Korea, but when you say you're glad we got their oil, you're talking about Iraq? There you're switching countries.

No one knows if we fixed Iraq yet, we'll all have to wait and see. Afghanistan certainly wasn't fixed but I for one don't think it ever could, their culture's built around things like clans and warlords. One thing no one can do is change a people's culture, only the respective people belonging to that culture can do that.

We also have too much money and manpower invested in Iraq to really do much about North Korea right now, that's why they continue developing their nuclear weapons without heeding our orders to halt.
 
First off, I don't hate anyone, just ignorant governments that allow for that sort of trash to spread over a NEWS STATION. You, know what thats like? Thats like us making a video of us saying the mexicans are trash and shouldn't be exist, and we put that on CNN. the differnce is, that you can hurl so many insults until someone stands and says, THATS NOT RIGHT. People all over hate Americans for stupid reasons, of course the differnce is that I am able to experiance people from different places everyday while all they hear is political propganda that hsa no reference. Second of all, Iraq and the rest of the middle east cannot get any worse, people starve all the time, battle and scrims are as rampant as CS is on the internet. People strap bombs to themselves and KILL for the pleasure of thinking that they will be rewarded in another life. I don't you realize that American intervention was the only thing to drop the crime. It would be like going into L.A., and someone doesnt like your gang (religion in reality) and shoot you, your family, friends, and go to your house and blow themselves up.

I don't know how Hydrogen fueling got into this argument, but I can say that I don't think the US is wasting it's money on Oil.
By collecting Oil the US is capturing more of the market, and saving all of it's own resources. Thus creating a great investment for future generations. One day our children won't have to depend on foreign countries for oil...because they won't have any left. :)

I would feel sorry for those countries, but they're selling themselves out.
When it comes to it, they'll only have themselves to blame.

But from the way it sounds, it's apparently something I'd be in a great outrage over. Me being known to be "As Pro-American as it gets." :)
 
Yeah Ghost, you would be so pissed. Anyway, I brought up hydrogen power because its much cleaner and cleaner buring. The only emmisions would be oxygen or something. Also, you wouldnt need to get ur car repared as much because it would not decay the engine as fast, and to make a Eletric hydrogen engine would be a God send for our enviroment right now. Although it might collapse the economy it released all at once.

My main point is that we know what we're doing.
We don't need criticism from anyone, least of all countries like Russia, Germany, France or China. We don't need to have an international committee that seeks resolutions to past resolutions.

A false peace is what these people want. You can't pretend something's not there.
What would you do if a woman was being raped across the street? Would you turn your back and ignore it? Would you go inside and try to think if calling the police on the "misunderstood" criminal would be the right thing to do?

We're all a part of this world. And that makes us responsible to one another's actions. It's our duty as human beings to stand up for eachother, especially for those that cannot stand up for themselves.

BTW: Russia owes the Olympic Committee the two gold medals they stole.
 
I agree it's good we got rid of Sadam. But I also think the greater threat was and is North Korea.

True we have started to rebuild it and we got Sadam, but the WoMD that were supposed to be there still aren't. A stable and strong government still hasn't been established. And crime is rising all around this new country with no police force or army outside of Baghdad.

Saudi Arabia has a monarchy and huge gap in lower and middle classes. Their rich citizenry helped support terrorism, yet we don't take any action since they are easy to trade oil and such with when they're ruled by one family. We support them as long as they relatively cooperate with what we tell them, not as long as they change their government or start to create a middle-class.

Resolutions to past resolutions? Could you explain what these resolutions were and what the new ones are?

Why does America know what it's doing? Have we rebuilt any more nations than other people? So far we're just doing a mediocre job at best. And not letting other countries participate in economic activities within Iraq's not helping us or them or Iraq, it's basically saying "Hey we don't care that this will help us you and them, you didn't follow what we told you to do in the past so now we're punishing you" then we go off and say "BTW, could you guys please just forget about all the money Iraq owes you?".
