It would appear that Valve are gearing up to release their documentary film surrounding the world of Dota 2 and the lives of the gamers that play it. A new post from Kotaku's Jason Schreier indicates that Valve are in the process of screening the film to test audiences over the course of the next month. The article includes confirmation from Valve's own Doug Lombardi, who says that they will be "Beta testing" the documentary at this year's Dota 2 International in August.
The following trailer for the film "Free to Play" surfaced last year, just before the 2012 International event in August.
You may remember that Valve also released a 20-minute behind-the-scenes video back in November, focusing on last year's tournament. Lombardi was keen to note the difference between the earlier video and the new documentary: "That was a recap of last year’s event. The documentary is a different thing, and really looks more at the gamers than one specific tourney."
