Vampire cure?

if you're really stuck... check out the official elderscrolls forum
from what i remember:

-most mage guilds have grand soul gems(to be stolen and/or bought)
-the 'witch' also has one in her secret basement accessed through the fireplace
-garlic can be found at the priory from the beginning of the game where you talked to jauffre(main quest)
-more garlic found hanging on the fireplace mantel in most stores in Skingrad
-moonleaf(?) can be found at the Chorrul mages guild in the library upstairs
-bloodgrass is found inside any Oblivion gate

hope that helps guys!

*edit* feeding on humans will quench your thirst and protect you from the sun for 24 hours i think

Personally I wasn't overly chuffed that I got infected either, because like most people I wasn't aware of it until I had the odd dream and then found myself burning in the sun (they need to make the disease warning a bit more obvious tbh). However I've adapted to it and don't find it particularly difficult to accommodate.

Unless your a complete masochist and enjoy playing the game at night only, you are probably going to want to play a stage 1 vampire, IE: normal looking with immunity to sun damage. To do this you need to ensure you have fed in the last 24 hours of play. The approach I've taken is to have a good breakfast about 5-6 am in the morning curtosy of my local mages/fighters guild (just watch out for the wandering porter) if I'm in the towns, or off the beggars if I'm in the imperial City (try the waterfront for sleeping victims)*. As a rule I always save before initiating a feed, just in case someone is watching.

If your on a dungeon crawl and find you revert to stage 2 or more during it, just ensure that you don't exit the caves until after 8pm, then travel to your next destination and have a feed in the morning and you'll be right as rain. Guild members will always trade/talk with you no matter how transformed you look.

*If you've completed the mages guild missions and have access to the university you'll also find a plentiful supply of lazy students and doddering professors to leech off as well ;D
