very dumb mod idea

gentlemen, im about to put forth something that will revolutionize all mods. HL Monsters. Somewhat like Pokemon(uh oh hope i dont get sued now). You catch, and train your HL2 monster (eg. Antlion, Hydra), so it will be the greatest of them all. You find new skills for them, buy new items for them. In time they evolve into more powerful monsters, as you battle other wild monsters in the wilderness, which you can also catch and train. i dont want to type out everything that could be done because im too lazy, but you get the general idea, what do you think?

doesn't for me either, but a very good idea in some ways.

i don't really think there's much of a half-life - pokemon connection. I doubt there's many hardcore fans of HL that'd be interested in a sort of pokemon spawned idea. basically HL fans like action, not training a headcrab to beat a gargantua...

hehehe, i used to be a "pokemaniac" if you will, that was a while ago, i was watching the new video cant remember the name of it only watched it once, and the idea just poped into my head

there was a pokemon mod for HL, but it died out a little while ago. and remember that blastoise skin for HL DM? that was fun.

That's almost as dumb as my idea of doing a remake of Space Quest 1 in Source. "Press F6 to fire Pulsar!"

Actually, I don't think it's a bad idea. I reckon most basic game concepts will be tried out in Source. Hopefully he good ones (like counterstrike) will stick around for a while. Personally though, I can't get into RPGs or Pokemon games because I've never had the attention span.
