Very important public relations message to Valve/Vivendi.

I suggest offically announcing the delay next week or very early in February.

Don't wait till March and definiately don't wait till April!!

Who agrees? Announcing the delay in March or April wouldn't be a good idea. There's really no easy to way to do it, they really have to choose the lesser of two evils. Sooner rather than later.

Are you talking about announcing that the game is delayed form september 30th? I htink we already realized....as far as anyone knows (and online retailers know NOTHING!!!1!!!!) it's coming out in april.

I'm talking about them officially announcing a delay from the April date to whenever. If they want to say September, it's up to them.

But of late, Valve have been doing a lot of good public relations..type..things. And i think the delay announcement should not be held off any longer.

In the end, as long as it's out before DNF I don't think anyone will really care.
If they delayed again, we'd be mad for a few weeks, then we'd go out and buy it cus we know it'll be worth it. HL is without a doubt the best $50 I ever spent in terms of entertainment / $$.

me either.. the only release date Valve ever gave was the September 30th one.. and they already announced the delay for it.. so i don't know why pple are jumping to conclusions about April?

Valve never gave ANY release date except for sept 30. It was just speculation from a Vivendi rep that said that it COULD be released in april.

Valve sure as hell wouldn't have to announce that they have delayed it again since we don't have a date that it could have been delayed from. That of course assuming it doesn't come out in april.

Many people are under the impression that HL2 will appear around April. I'm personally getting ready to buy a new computer to coincide with the release. But if it's going to be delayed till 2005, i don't want to be buying a new computer for nothing!! Please tell us what's going on with the release date so that people in my situation, don't have to get anally raped like all the guys who rushed out to get comps before September 30th , who now could get much more powerful comps for the same price. Cough Anyway Rant Blah Blah Blah.

Vivendi and Valve really have to work together on public announcements regarding the release dates. At the moment Vivendi seem to extracting dates from their asses. Whilst Valve are giving us the normal "lips sewn together with twine" treatment. Game retailers are all smoking pot and can't be trusted either way.
