viewpoint mediaplayer???

hey on my taskbar at the bottom it said "would you like to upgrade viewpoint mediaplayer?" and i said no then i went an uninstalled it because i thought it might've been spyware...

i don't know how it got on my computer, but now i'm worried that it may have been a useful program that i just deleted...

anyone know much about it or if i did anything wrong?

It's spyware that comes with AOL messenger.

ok i uninstalled it, however the site says to locate the viewmgr.exe file and delete it, but im kinda nervous about deleting it because it's in the windows folder (prefetch.)

do you think its necessary that i delete this too?
