noo, a beta doesn't work, let's all cry and complain, aeeyyeeee !Shodan said:This can go to hell.
I've now tried for FOUR DAYS with various different methods to get the piece of shit to install, it won't.
****ing hunk of shit.
destrukt said:and you are planning microsoft for lack of drivers when they clearly have excellent driver support
Rofl @ pig. I had NO problem installing on my raptor.Shodan said:The second beta?
It STILL doesn't support SATA hard drives, I had to get some damned drivers on a floppy disk, I tried about 10 ways to get it to install, none of which worked, a whole bunch of bugs, fine, but this crap is ridiculous.
Hey Microsoft, instead of sending out rocks to people, trying making your ****ing piece of shit OS work.
Don't quote big pix plz.giant384 said:lol nice does that game work in vista well i mean
yeah, see:Shodan said:It really pisses me off when I say something related to windows that doesn't work and I get all this "lol ur wrong IT DUZ WORK BECAUSE ITS GREAT!"
irony > you.Shodan said:Hey Microsoft, instead of sending out rocks to people, trying making your ****ing piece of shit OS work.
yeah, that was just a tad bit uncalled for since you're having some hardware/driver related problems on a beta, and a beta where it's known that hardware support isn't a focus [yet].Shodan said:Hey Microsoft, instead of sending out rocks to people, trying making your ****ing piece of shit OS work.

i'm not defending it's problems, i know a couple of people who have had problems with the beta, i'm not suprised, but it's different when you 'blame' ms for hardware/driver problems.
it's also different when you say something like:
yeah, that was just a tad bit uncalled for since you're having some hardware/driver related problems on a beta, and a beta where it's known that hardware support isn't a focus [yet].
giant384 said:how do you install the driver if you want to install win vista x64
Shodan said:Yeah, I see what you mean, I can't explain how annoyed I was when I had to download the ISO twice, both times the install didn't work for various reasons.
TechnoHippyChic said:Not sure if you meant the link I gave, but it has 2 links, one for 32 and 64.
So did you try those nvidia drivers?

To install 64-bit Vista, I had to burn the ISO to a DVD and then boot off the DVD, and it took it from there. It's running pretty smoothly, except I can't get WoW to run in widescreen.giant384 said:yes i know about those but how could you run the 64bit version of vista and install the drivers on 32bit xp

You don't install the drivers to XP then install Vista. While the Vista installer is starting up (actually, I'm not sure when) but you have to keep pressing F6 in order for you to load the SATA drivers from a floppy. Then and only then will the installer recognize your SATA drives and you'll be able to install.giant384 said:yes i know about those but how could you run the 64bit version of vista and install the drivers on 32bit xp
