i could nt find a thread abt this.
anyway have you seen this thread on half life source?

http://www.halflifesource.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3351&page=1&pp=15

im quite amazed by the guy's persistence and imagination, I mean this story could be published.

what is equally amazing is there are some peopple on that site who actually believed him.

maybe if he hadnt said that he lives in a parellal universe..

i assume u mean the running editorial on planethalflife, i dunno, link would have been nice.

Games don't make people violent, but games make people idiotic for sure.

ahahhahah

The very reason I dont go to that site:

I believe him. Ever since the Rosewell incident and the secret filming in the Nevada high desert, things have been very very fishy in the states. As for the quantum physics, I didn't think that that would have any relation to Half-Life, however the multiverse theory may explain the exsistence of Xen.

Yeah....

PHL used to have a running feature called Walter's World, a funny serial fan fiction written from the perspective of Walter Bennett, a Black Mesa scientist. I haven't read it in a long time so I don't quite know if this fella is ripping it off word for word, but it's definitely not an original idea.

Interesting. He is pretty good at sounding like a scientist.

I´m pretty damn sure that this so called Walter Bennet is character from DeusEX.....

You're pretty damn mistaken. :rolling:

It's a shame he hasn't made it past 2nd grade level grammar and spelling.

You´re damn right I am!!!! JC Denton/Walter Bennet No similarities.....
What have I been smoking? :rolling: :E

Walter Bennet is a fictional scientist from PHL.
He does make cameo appearances in all the Gearbox expansions though.
In opposing force, someone sends a message to Walter, a scientist from the biodome.
In the manual to Decay, a schedule shows that W. Bennet was going to participate in an anti-mass spectrometer overload simulation some time before the cascade.
And a scientist named Walter escapes Black Mesa with Barney at the end of Blue Shift.
(Spoiler tags for people who haven't played them. :))

this has nothing to do with the phl. read it n see.

But wasn't Black Mesa nuked? His story is flawed 'cause he says he's lived in Balck Mesa for the last six years.

Reminds me of John Titor ;)

Hehe.

But he just said that the game was based on Half-Life, not meaning the entire game.

So don't expect him to start talking about Striders... :E

my IP has been banned at half life source
wtf is with that?!
i visited it like 5 times

Ehh thats where it falls apart, even if it was possibly true (lol) Half Life was in development more than 6 years ago, which would mean that the real BMRF (lol) ripped off valve and did the exact thing.

you guys are not believing this guy are you? the story was so cliche

Perhaps not as bad as the guy repeatedly claiming to be his father. Dude; try a different angle, it wasn't funny to begin with and it just... still isn't.

Reminds me of a slightly more serious Walter's World... marginally less tongue in cheek at least.

Really, do you think that such a concidence could happen - it's so fake esp. after that DNF guy article.

his story is flawed because he says lives in a parellal universe. the rest is mere detail.

speaking of Walter Bennett, does anyone know if he will be appearing in HL2?

I find that thread very amusing; he sure comes off as a scientist and has some knowledge about quantum physics.

It might be some sort of fun show set up by valve to reveal the little bits of what happened in the 10 years between HL and HL² A reopening of a teleport link to xen at 20th of June was a cool idea and is something that we haven’t thought of ... I am reading every page now and I find it pretty neat...

He's just someone having fun and providing amusement for people who admit they're bored...
