I collect guns. I just wanted to show off a couple of HK's I have. I am no HK fanatic as I don't like their newer stuff especially USP pistols but I love P7's and their roller lock rifles and smg's. Click on the links below to see the pics.

This is a HK P7 PSP that has been refinished by with NP3 which is a finish that somehow combines nickel with teflon. It adheres much stronger than regular nickel so it will not chip like nickel. The teflon properties give it a natural lubricity which makes cleaning it MUCH easier and you can actually run most guns with no lube at all, but I still use some tetra gun grease just in case. I have a concealed carry license and this is my carry gun. It makes a better carry gun than a P7M8 because the M8's mag release is in a location that causes it to get pushed by alot of holsters releasing the mag while you are wearing it.

This one isn't technically an HK. Real HK rifles cost to damn much because of the 89 ban on the importation of assault rifles which has limited the supply to those imported before 89. I always wanted an HK91 but all the clones were crap until JLD enterprises released the PTR-91. They are HK91 clones w/ 2 differences. They have a heavy target barrel and a French Diopter sight instead of a standard HK rear sight. These are improvements if better accuracy is desired. They are more accurate than a true HK91 because of the heavy target barrel. They aren't as accurate as a PSG-1 or MSG-90 but those to because of the ban are WAY out of my price range. I added a factory HK claw mount with a Tapco stanag to weaver conversion rail, a Sightron SII 4-16X42mm scope (not the best but good enough for my purposes), a factory HK light steel bipod, a decent trigger job (factory HK91 triggers suck), I sold the POF wideforend and bought a factory HK one, about twenty 20rd mags, and a 5 rd mag. I want to add a MSG-90 buttstock but that would drop the number of US parts to low and would make it illegal (this deals with the same ban I referred to earlier). Top Notch Parts is supposed to have a US clone MSG-90 stock soon. I preordered one in January and they said they should ship in February but they still aren't done damnit!! I have close to $1700 in this rifle with all the stuff I added to it including the clone MSG-90 stock I already payed for. I just got done shooting 120rds of 1980's Argentina surplus 7.62 Nato ammunition and one box of Black Hills Match Grade .308. It's pretty damn accurate for a .308 battle rifle, but it is not a precision rifle by any means. I had a bolt action Remington 700PSS (police sniper special) that I sold to help pay for this. That thing was a precision rifle but it really wasn't my cup of tea and Match Grade Ammo is close to $20 for a box of 20rds which is to rich for my blood when surplus 7.62 is about $190 for 1000rds. I'm about to start Dental School so maybe after I'm done I'll get another tac driver but until then...

Oh yea please don't turn this into a political debate. I could care less if people don't like the fact that I own guns or carry them. I am proud of my toys and wanted to show them off. If it offends you click the back button on your browser  .

Nice toys (i'm sure someone will go mental about calling them toys), it is nice to actually see Someone who likes and collects guns!
P7's are one of my favorite handguns, gas retarded mechanism is the main reason i like it.
Meh, seeing this thread makes me a little sad, i cannot collect guns, and the collection of air weapons i have is likely to be taken, for no good reason. (i've already lost £500 worth of gear.....for nothing)

Oh and here is my 'little' collection of airguns, airsoft and blankfirers.
http://img285.echo.cx/img285/9708/arsenal0018ix.jpg
Allready lost the 4 revolvers in the middle, totalling £500 or more...never did any harm, never caused any fear now they are probably part of your shiny new car! .......probably lose the rest of it (about £3000 worth) if the gun grabbers have their way, damn UK.
Photo was taken a while ago, collection has changed slightly.

That sucks short recoil. Maybe things will change someday...
I doubt it, UK has already started sliding on its ass backwards into a police state but nevermind.

Wow, I thought everyone on these forums smoked except me
How far does that crossbow shoot? Those arrows/bolts look like that could kill someone.

It's an 80lb draw crossbow, pretty powerful for a pistol (i don't find it too hard to cock, but then again i'm massive)
Its got an effective range of about 30 metres i'd say...the short bolts have a lot of manufacturing error and can even tumble at longer ranges.
I was testing its penetration power once, at 10m it can penetrate both sides of an empty metal paint can.....more powerful than a 12ftlb airgun.

Thanks Stern ;) . I wasn't sure if you would refrain. Just for clarification I am just using toys as a figure of speech. I don't think anyone really thinks that guns are mere toys. I just have alot of fun shooting them (in a safe manner) so sometimes I refer to them as toys. I have a vault so they are not accessable to kids and could only be stolen if you happen to bring a cutting torch or something most burglars wouldn't have unless they knew about and planned for my vault. If someone wants something bad enough though they can find a way to get it. I just like to make it as hard as possible.

I saw this thread and then I saw your name. I instantly thought "Guns."

That's something that short recoil could get! England has gun control laws, not rocket launcher control laws.

interesting. can you get tanks, too?

You need to invest in a rocket launcher.
Nah. It would be fun but there is no where around here that I could safely shoot one even if it was legal. There is some stuff called tannerite that is legal for U.S. citizens to buy. It's a binary explosive that has to be hit with a certain amount of PSI to explode. Guess what reaches the needed PSI. Most any centerfire rifle round will do the trick. It's louder than dynamite and you can feel the concussion from 100yds away. It's only legal because it is a binary compound and each ingredient by itself isn't restricted. Once it is mixed it's classified as an explosive and you have to have a special license to transport it anywhere. The loophole is if you mix it where you plan to shoot it it's perfectly legal. I have about half a case left. It's very stable even when mixed. You can light it on fire, shoot it with a pistol, etc and it won't go off. If you shoot it with a rifle however MAKE sure there isn't anything around that could become shrapnel because it's more powerful than it looks. I've seen a video of an entire refrigerator being blown up with one target. It doesn't look that powerful from videos but there is alot of power at work that you can't really see unless it is placed inside objects. I don't put them inside anything though because it would be considered making a destructive device which is a felony. It's still funny watching video's of other's willing to risk their freedom though. Anyways here's a video: http://www.aznetspot.com/pics/tannerite1_6.mpg

If I can find a better video I will post it. Here is where you buy the stuff: http://www.tannerite.com/

Pfft, Tanks suck... Get the Stealth Bombers, fully equipped, for $30! I've got 17 of em in my back yard.

I saw this thread and instantly thought you meant those “other” kinds of adult toys.

Disappointing.

I'm not into killing either. I've never been hunting in my life. I just enjoy target shooting and plinkin. It's very challenging and stress relieving. I guess my carry gun is for killing but it would only be used to protect me and my pregnant wife. I didn't even think about concealed carry until I got married. I just want to do EVERYTHING in my ability to protect my wife and myself. I guess I consider it my duty as a husband and future dad.

They're like 25 cents at the corner stores here in San Francisco.

And when I saw the title of your thread I thought you meant something else. But it should have been a dead giveaway since it wasn't already locked.

I do remember a story of some dude that brought a tank and drove it around London for his commute.

However, he was required to gut all the firing equipment and had a licence from the army which enabled him to do it.

won't the tank's tracks destroy the roads?

Maybe if it also use it's mortar or on some old brick road but I doubt the treads would do harm to modern pavement.

How did he indicate?

tank = heavy

heavy + road = damaged asphalt

This is my current weapon of choice, full and semi auto...

Love the mini uzi's, and the lugers :D

I'm considering buying a desert eagle .50 gas blowback (before they get banned outright here in the UK)

If I lived over in the states i'd probably buy the real thing. Can't be too careful these days, pikey chavs everywhere :sniper:

I see what you mean in some ways about the UK Police State (ID cards etc) but seriously; cracking down on guns and replicas isn't all that bad. It's perfectly possible that a person could, very successfully use those to commit any number of crimes - bank robberies etc.
It's a shame you didn't get at least partly reimbursed for them, but I have - and I'm sorry, but I'm just being frank - little sympathy for their confiscation. There's all this furore over the rise in gun crime in the UK and, whilst your guns weren't capable of killing people (could they have been adapted?), they could still have been used in crimes, etc.
I'm not accusing you of anything, you understand; I'm just trying to put my viewpoint into perspective.
