Wanted to show off a couple of my grownup toys.

Good choices :E

...but something I always wondered about, I already saw pictures of private people owning UMP .40s and G36 and all, supposedly fully automatic. How is that possible?

I see what you mean in some ways about the UK Police State (ID cards etc) but seriously; cracking down on guns and replicas isn't all that bad. It's perfectly possible that a person could, very successfully use those to commit any number of crimes - bank robberies etc.
It's a shame you didn't get at least partly reimbursed for them, but I have - and I'm sorry, but I'm just being frank - little sympathy for their confiscation. There's all this furore over the rise in gun crime in the UK and, whilst your guns weren't capable of killing people (could they have been adapted?), they could still have been used in crimes, etc.
I'm not accusing you of anything, you understand; I'm just trying to put my viewpoint into perspective.

So I guess you think criminals follow gun laws? The only people that the laws really affect are law abiding citizens. Taking away guns basically ensures a mugger/burglar he doesn't have much to worry about. Here in the states there are statistics to show that states that have concealed carry have significantly lower levels of rape, armed robbery, and many other violent crimes. The media would have you believe otherwise though. You see criminals are less likely to commit some crimes if they know their is a chance people are armed. You know that statistic that people always refer to saying you are 5 times more likely to be killed with a gun if a gun is present in your home? Funny thing about that statistic is they include in those numbers guns brought into the home by people committing a crime. So if some burglar brings a gun it's included in those numbers. Kinda misleading huh?

I'm taking out one of my AK-47's, my S&W 66 .357 magnum, and a couple of .22's today :bounce: :sniper:. I'm a member at a private gun range. There's a 200 meter rifle range, 80 meter rifle range, 25 meter pistol range, shotgun range, and archery range. There are nice benches at all the ranges with shelters built overhead for shade and protection from the elements. I love it :bounce: . There's lots of Steel gongs on the 200 meter range. Soon they're going to tear down half of the berm and extend it to 400 meters.

I'm considering buying a desert eagle .50 gas blowback (before they get banned outright here in the UK)

If I lived over in the states i'd probably buy the real thing. Can't be too careful these days, pikey chavs everywhere :sniper:
I have a Tokyo Marui Desert Eagle, and boy does that bitch kick! It's not especially accurate, but it has some power behind it - probably around 290-300FPS unmodified. I still prefer my Glock 19, though. Thinking about getting the new Sig P226, too.

great now i'm browsing a sexshop website, thanks ryan :/. Those are some crazy...devices. http://www.sexshop365.co.uk/frontnew/fm.jpg wtf.

I've never actually touched a gun in my life. Nor i have felt fearful enough to need a gun. If i ever felt that scared...hmm i wouldn't feel that scared. Fear ****s everything up.

Yes, to bad we have sane people here in belgium who do not allow giving everyone a gun when he/she wants to.

It's not out of fear. It's just to be prepared. I refuse to be a serf. I think the quote that best explains how I feel is "better to have and not need than to need and not have." Like it or not violence happens. I probably will never truly need my guns, but if I do I'll be glad to have them. I'm not some crazy guy or anything. I have a BS in Zoology Biomedical Sciences and I start Dental School at the end of June. Like it or not if someone wants a gun to commit a crime they can usually get it easily. Hell gun bans make the black market soar.

won't the tank's tracks destroy the roads?
It was a light tank, and it had road tracks (Rubber) thats why it didn't crush the asphalt.

Man, I got the wrong impression when I read this thread's title. :O

Yeah, but then this thread would have sexual orientation, and we all know what happens THEN...

I could never have guns at home like that. I would probably go crazy with them when i was drunk or something...

NO NUKES, NO NUKES!!!

Some of my other rifles got a little jealous:

Left to right: Romanian WASR AK47 with Wire Folding Stock and other aftermarket furniture, Rock River Arms M4 w/ cheap Leapers Mildot Scope, Bulgarian SAM-7 AK47, Saiga-12 12 gauge shotgun with detachable magazine.

Here's a pic of the Romanian with the stock folded:

Here's some of my pistols. My 1911 (.45) is at a smith getting some work done so it's not there:

Lastly you can never have to much of this:

I'm getting kinda low. I only have about 2500rds left across all my calibers, but I ordered 2000rds of 9mm the other day and will be getting some more .308 soon so it's all good.

Amazing collection, does your wife also own and fire guns as well?

All she likes to shoot are my .22's but she only does that every once in a while. Rigft now she's pregnant so she doesn't go with me because all the percussion is supposedly amplified by the amniotic fluid. That's not all my collection but it's most of the good stuff. I had more but I sold alot to pay for my custom 1911. I won't be buying anything else for a few years probably because Dental School will take up most of my time and kids are expensive.

My friends collection makes mine look like nothing.

I got her to shoot a .44 magnum I used to have. She was pissed at me for the rest of the day.

congrats on having a family ...hopefully you wont become a gun stat ...I'm a parent and the thought of having a gun in my house is akin to loading my house full of gun powder then smoking indoors ..but to each his own

Don't do it Stern! Think of the children! On this forum, of course.

Is that because you can't trust yourself to keep is in a safe place and use it safely?

The size of your penor is inversely proportionate to the amount of guns you own.

Nah.. nice heaters though.

heaters, gats, guns. All the same thing :/ nice collection SIG. My dad's got a .45 magnum, tek-9, glock 18 or 19 forgot which, lil .22, and a beretta somethin or other. I've shot em all but the glock, love the .45. Shit has a huge kickback to it, but it's still fun. I love going shooting, i need to get my own pistol permit im 19...
Who the **** says heaters? Is it fitty or one of the other dawgs? Seriously, who the hell would say that in a normal conversation? "Yeah, I was at Wal-Mart the other day looking at their heaters, they really do have some good deals."

Probably a Glock 19 because the 18 is a full auto Glock so it's not available to the average Joe.

I forgot to mention that all of the rifles I showed pics of are semi-auto only. Civilians can get full-auto stuff in the US if you live in a state that permits ownership of Class 3 weapons, but it's very expensive and you have to go through alot of red tape to get them legally.

There was a machine gun ban in 1986 which basically halted the production of fully automatic weapons that are transferable to civilians. Basically it limited the supply of registered and legally transferable machine guns to those already in the possession of owners. This of course makes the supply of legally transferable machine guns very low while demand has went way up. For example a full-auto AK47 sold for the same amount as a semi-auto version in 1986 which ranged from $350 up to $1000 depending on what you buy. Now a legally transferable fully automatic AK47 goes for about $10,000-$12,000. I wish I had that kinda money but I don't.

To own one you have to go get a certain ATF form and fill it out. The police chief in your county must approve it and sign it (some states they are required to if you qualify while others leave it to the chief's discretion). It then gets sent off and they do both state and nationwide FBI background checks on you (very extensive checks). It takes 3 months and then you pay a $200 transfer fee. You must own a safe to own any Class 3 weapons which include but are not limited to: machine guns, short barreled rifles or shotguns, suppressors, etc. The FBI or ATF (I don't remember which) then has the right to come inspect your weapons anytime they want 24hrs a day to make sure it is stored properly etc. I'm not sure if they keep your fingerprints on file. I know that after you own a class 3 weapon a file is kept on you the rest of your life.

To get a concealed carry license varies. In my state you must take a course to learn about the legalities of when you have the right to use deadly force, and to show you are competent and can handle a firearm in a safe manner. You then have to get your fingerprints taken at the Sheriff's department and they are kept on file. You send off an application with the fingerprints and $100 money order. After all the background checks are done you pick up your license. It took about 3 months to get mine after I turned everything in. The class cost me $50 the finger prints $25 and the application fee $100. It has to be renewed in 5 years.

Pride of my collection

Beauty

One for keeping in the car, just in case of emergencies

Watch out!

Only got this for nostalgic reasons, not much use. My grandad used a similar one during the war

m3h, people do use the word heater. Just b/c you may live in a "country" town, or an upper class neighboorhood doesn't mean theirs not people out their who use these words. Yea sig im thinkin about getting a concealed pistol permit, if they still give em out here in NY. I know my dad has one but he got his a long, long time ago.
I don't live in either of those places.

well then u must still live in a mostly white neighboorhood, at least middle class, or ud know what the words, burner, heater, and gat mean. U live in minnesota nuff said :/
Lol, you are so ignorant. Gat isn't a new term at all, I have heard that before. I live in a mostly white neighborhood, like America.

Damn wiggers.

It's a gun not a gat, heater, or burner.

im ignorant? i never said u didn't know what gat means i was just using that as an example of words that mean guns that most people dont know. You didn't know what heater means, well everyone i know does. And i dont get what u mean by u live in a mostly white neighboorhood, like america. Your the ignorant one if you think all, or even most of america is like ur neighboorhood. And your also ignorant if you think you have to be a wigger, or black inorder to use any slang words, whether about guns or not. (that was to tron too)
This has nothing to do with race, only a certain culture would use those kinds of words seriously. And America is mostly white. I called you ignorant for thinking making incorrect assumptions about Minnesota.

shadow6899 said:
Rofl america isn't mostly white at all anymore. Maybe a 100 years ago, but whites are not the king race anymore here in this country. Alot of other races are catching up quickly, and we are outnumbered by other races. A certain culture would not only use those words, and even so if it is a certain culture, who cares? It's that cultures decision to use those words, why are u affected by that? I'm not making incorrect assumptions at all about minn. they're in the middle of america, most the places in middle america don't get all the slang words we do on the coasts, Mainly due to us having bigger and more cities. Minnesota is a big city too, so of course you'll have your ghetto's and such, but they are no where near as bad as in the bigger cities.
Lol, you make it sound like some sort of race battle.
