Hello and welcome to War Stories Volume Two (bet you don't even remember the first, where you can post your mad and hilarious tales of death and destruction. By the way, I do mean in games. Though if you've really gone on a gun rampage, post that too!

Here's two of mine:

BF1942. Desert COmbat. Kursk. Me and a friend were strafing about in apaches, covering a tank column. We're dominating, blowing up tanks left, right, and center, whem suddenly, something catches my eye...
"Flak! On the hill!" I scream, but it's too late. My friend gets hit and spirals down, in flames, to the ground, only just managing to escape the stricken vehicle. He parachutes down, a scout, right in front of his crashed chopper and behind enemy lines.
"Hold on!" I say. "I'm coming."

So he's surrounded by tanks and infantry, trying to holld them off with his sniper rifle. He shoots one, two, one in the head, two more, reload. Another two enemies go down. The fisrt tank arrives and he manages, miraculously, to grenade it. Now he's on low health, sniping for his life. Another tank rolls in and this time he's out of grenades. It's the end.

Suddenly the tank blowss up and he looks to the skies to see me in my apache do a perfect combat landing, firing missiles as I descend, right in front of him. He jumps in and we take off under heavy fire, him manning the cannon and me dodging missiles. We make it back to base and survive the ordeal. Then, because it's BF1942, we get healed up and go straight back out in a tank...

Number 2:

Some of you may have heard this already. Me and the same friend - plus another - are pinned down atop a stategic hill in Gazala. We're completely surrounded. Frantic, we call for backup. We expected air suport, artillery maybe, but not the sight of a blackhawk spiralling across the sky towards us in a lazy spin. And then it lands perfectly behind us. We pile in without a second thought...but then we see who is in the pilot's seat...
"Hello!" says Solid Snail.
The chopper lifts off and goes into a flat spin, clipping a mountain and finally coming to a rest on a cliffside...perfect landing. Bemused, we waste no time in escaping the flying coffin. We bid goodbye to Solid Snail, who promptly lifts off, flips over, and accelerates...right over the cliff and dissappearing completely.
To this day I'm not sure whether he got out of that one....

So post your own! And as a special treat, here's the man himself...Solid Snail!

I never was quite sure...how did you get out of that one?
Come on everybody. You must have some funny stories.

well there was me droping that bomb strait throu a window and on to an unsispecting soldier.
I love A-10's

ow yes it was you sulk wasn't it. luckey it was just your gut's spralled on the florr and not your brain. hehehehehe

Ive got some...but it would take to much coursework writing time to post them....I can tell you that one involves a humerous landing with a blackhawk...and another with a hind.

Close Encounters, anyone?
Btw, that soldier in the window...was that me by any chance?

I also recall in battle field me and hell's (another fine soldier)were dog fighting in a zero-sen 'n' a typhon on wake island. no bots just us but it was a really silly match as i had more experience as well as air superiority but he still beat me with the use of extream eratic flight

ow and yes it was but i have alredy said that

Uhm, just now I was sniping for the Axis on Bocage and doing fine as I always do :naughty: Then suddenly I heard from behind me "Cut it out you Beluga". So I swing around and see this American holding a knife trying to sneak up on me. So, a teammate of his gave his position away and I heard that and there we are. I have him in my visors of my Cal .50 and pop a bullet in his head..

Guy totally pissed off and yelling at his teammates, I knew he would come back so I had to reposition. Lucky me a BDRM comes along and I get a lift and move to another position. And yep, there he comes running with his car-15 and give him another bullet... He was so pissed and kept ranting until the game ended...

You guys ever use this website btw? http://bftracks.net

Is Desert Combat mod worth buying BF1942 for????? I hated BF1942.... Does desert Combat make if alot different... Like more realistic?? I hate how the infantry is in Bf1942... Like killing tanks with a grenade... UGGGG.....

Desert Cobat is BF1942 in the modern age. Personally I think BF1942 is worth buying on it's own but throw DC into the equation and you have a sweet deal. Granted, if you hat BF1942 then you'll hate Desert Combat, but in my opinion it's worth it for the choppers alne.
