I can honestly say, that I agree with most of what he says. The only good part of the movie was the end scene of the lightsabre fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

Maddox is a crap reviewer, how dare you say he is good.... His site is made to piss people off, even if he liked the film he would of dissed, as he is now awesomey cool for doing so... Or not.

Anyways, if you dont see the film due to some twits review, you loose out..

Oh, don't be so sensitive Ritz. I watch all movies. Once they come on satelite for my viewing pleasure.

His take on the whole thing was awesome, though. lol

I'm sorry, but I find his break in your face humor hilarious. Its just so brutal.

I was never around during the craze. I just read his archives from time to time. When you read it all in such a short time, it can't really get old.

Insane, you're not missing much. Don't listen to the "the first two were crap, but this is better" people. The word "average" was invented for movies like this.

I haven't liked Maddox's recent stuff but this one has put him back on form :p

While Maddox definetly is a hilarious guy, you shouldn't trust any of his reviews at all. He hates everything. His reviews are just jokes much like his articles, all funny stuff. That's it.

word to that, but seriously this movie is teh rox, sure some things aren't perfect but it's definatly worth the 5 - 10 bucks to go see it.

That was a very funny review, I love maddox. With that said, I really, really liked EP3.
 
As much as I like Maddox, I wouldn't take him to seriously. The last thing he'd want you to do is listen to him- he probably doesn't even agree with half of the things he says. He had good points, but I still liked the movie.
 
Man... guys. Who is taking him seriously? Please, tell me. Who? Me? No... i'm not taking him seriously. When I say he is a good reviewer, I say it in the sense that his review was incredibly enjoyable to read. It made me burst out laughing in my sleep deprived state.

But is he good, as in genuinely good at giving me a review that I can consider before actually making a purchase? Hell no.

I already know he hates everything. The topic was just to show his 'review' of episode 3.
 
I think Maddox may be going soft.
His ep3 review wasnt nearly harsh enough imho.

Theres another thing that has been bugging me.

Why did joda's lightsaber, that was in the torso of a clonetrooper, not just fall to the ground due to gravity whilst slicing the bottom half the body at the same time? You would think a film dubbed Sci-Fi would take simple physics into consideration

I liked episode 3, despite the humongous and ridiculous plot holes.

I thought it was quite good. And I think he just hates Star Wars and is trying desperatly to find faults in it.
 
If you were planning on seeing Star Wars and then decided not to because of what Maddox said ... you're an idiot. I can't say whether or not you'll like it, some do and some don't, but I don't see why that site would influence your opinion. While I would venture a guess that he probably doesn't like the movie, it's hard to tell whether he's being legit in all of his articles or playing the devil's advocate for the sake of humor. Thats what those articles are designed for - humor, not to be useful sources of information.

Personally, if you go into it expecting what it's trying to deliver then it can be a damn good movie. The Godfather it is not, but it is a fun movie.

Gullible ... read your post again and try and find a hint of sarcasm. You simply stated that you had just read the article, it was great, and you changed your mind about seeing the movie. Nothing clever or witty to be found, it was simply a statement. A perfectly believable one at that, seeing as you're a random person on the internet, and random people on the internet have said stranger things. Don't see how anyone who took you at your word (which isn't saying much considering how easy of a statement it is to believe) is gullible.

Bah... The post was just remarking on how funny the review was, or at least how funny it was to me. I have a good enough sense of humor to laugh at Maddox's take on life, bitter about everything in a brutally hilarious fashion.

I didn't expect people to call me names based on the fact that I posted I wouldn't watch a movie because of some review a guy that hates everything wrote. I mean.. .come on, there were laughing smilies everywhere!
 
It's not a big deal or anything, but I think most people assumed that was because you enjoyed the review so much. Sarcasm doesn't really transfer well over the internet. Whatever, not a big deal.
 
I'm willing to accept the plot holes because hayden christensen is less of an angsty jackass in this one. (Which is still pretty angsty. Just not as much so.)
 
I too really liked EP3. It was great and easily the best of the first three.
 
i've never seen any star wars before. but just a few weeks ago some friends took me to see the new episode. i loved every second of it. absolutely brilliant, i urge everybody to see this movie!!
