I don't know about you guys but whenever I see someone in real life or in a video get embarrased I feel so bad for them that I can't even stand to be in the same room or continue watching the video. For example I was just trying to watch a video of some apparently "stupid" (that's what the title to the video said) The Price is Right player but I only got a fourth through it before I had to close it. Nothing embarrassing had even happened yet! I feel really anxious and nervous when seeing that happen but no one else seems to. How come I'm such a panzy? :imu:

You are Pathetic, grow some hair on ur balls

Because you're not heartless monster unlike the rest of us? D:

Or maybe you are a government-made <3 dispenser.

in the fears thread someone wrote they were scared of making eye contact with babies, i thought that was the most pathetic thing i'd ever heared in my entire life.

Im actually just gonna stay out of this section of the forum from now on...

I feel sorry for people, but I kinda laugh at the same time. I don't mind, we've all been there. Shit happens, just get through it and get on with it.

Maybe you've got embarraphobia

Its like general off topic has went on the rag or something...

Damn wussies! Pick up those shoulders!

Well if its embarrassing moments that make you quiver, I don't know what you're doing here in off-topic.. The index page reads like this:

* Girl Problems

* Girlfriend Problems

* I need your advice

* THINGS TO DO IN TEXAS!!!!!!

holy crap

As my biology teacher said..."We are watching you 24/7 so dont think you can skip my class" just replace the word class with ban and biology teacher with moderator.

Anyway, back to topic. I feel the same actually, everytime someone does anything embarresing i keep placing myself in that persons situation, i feel so sorry for the person and i turn red myself and become very nervous for no reason. Or when you do something that is NOT embarresing, but you keep thinking "what if it was embarresing" and you turn red and get embarresed even tho your not...i call it "reverse-embarresment".

Actually, I know exactly how you feel. Me and my girlfriend are the same way. For example, sometimes while watching Who's line, when they pick someone from the audience, and then sing a song about their profession, or use them as a human propt, I sometimes get to the point that I change the channel.

No idea what causes this, but lately I have been making myself watch them, thinking to myself; "It's just a show, they know what they are getting into" or something along those lines.

So just know your not alone, but I have no idea what the reason is behind it, maybe its my natural shy-ness or something kicking in, no idea.

I usually feel the same embarassment for some odd reason.

Yeah, that would rank #2 right away on my 'pathetic' list.
Number 1 being, of course, guys pretending to be lesbians on the internets.

Awe, did Pvt. Ryan have an embarrassing webcam moment? Getting all hot and heavy then finding out she is a he... must suck :)

I hate when I see couples fighting in public. I think that kind of stuff should be kept behind closed doors.

Ok.. we'll just pretend that had anything to do with this topic. Jusssst kiddin! I love you all.

Yeah, me too! I can't stand to watch people make fools of themselves. [1]

[1] Unless they're absolute morons, and even then it's a bit weird.

My brother is terrible at this. He gets just as embarassed as the people who are doing the embarassing thing. I just laugh.

Hmm...I have been acknoledged and yet feel very offended at the same time...

All I do is cringe when people really, really humiliate themselves.

I don't help. I'm such a role model.

Haha I can agree with you in some situations (to the original poster). Like watching your friend get his ass beat in a fight especially if he's the one who started it. But sometimes I do enjoy situations where others are humilated. One time when I was in junior high this rich korean kid thought he was hot shit, because he knew karate and went around putting random people in headlocks and trying to scare ppl with his karate. Then one day he went up to this kid in band and tried it. The kid took wrestling at school and used a couple wrestling moves to put his ass on the ground. I just so enjoyed watching him get humilated in front of the entire class it was great

Who the hell just goes around putting random kids in headlocks? He sounds ****ING AWESOME! +rep

Yeah, my Discrete Math professor is torturing me this semester. He's a really nice guy, but he manages to confuse himself utterly at least once a lecture, resulting in about a minute of silence when he fumbles through his notes trying to figure out what's going on. I feel almost like I'm the one up there.

I'm not sure why you felt anxious while watching that video but I think most anxiety is caused by practice, as well as treated with practice. You get more anxious in those situations cause you practice escaping them, so to stop getting anxious you need to face them head on as much as you can.

By the way, that video is hilarious and I suggest you watch it till the end or you'll miss the best part...

Holy crap, I thought I was the only one who felt this :eek:
I described it to a friend and he's like "wtf? that doesn't make sense"

Yeah I just get anxious and stuff, it's terrible.

Not embarrased for myself, but for them... It's hard to explain.

I think the ideal manly man has all trace of emotion and empathy wiped from them... thus why Rakurai seems confused.

Yeah, it happens to me sometimes too. I have a lot of trouble watching movies like American Pie or Meet the Parents for that reason, although I guess that isn't such a bad thing...

You just gotta learn to let go my man.

Let it gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo~.

Psychadelic.
