Mostly because it doesn't go stupid with hurrr-so-kewl "art" elements, like a lot of fan sites do. That said though, its not really a good layout, and quite boring looking, being mostly text and a solid black background. Also, its all aligned to the left, which websites should not be. Center that shit.
