Why is it so hard to accept. April 2004, enough time to re-wite the vulnerable parts of the code and also add some cool new stuff to make up for the delay.

Go play someting else in the meantime. Like Jedi Knight 3 or Max Payne. Believe me when april 2004 comes around you'll be blown away.

I am a man with some faith in valve ... until valve will not say anything about the date we can't know for sure.

And they read some of the posts like a lot of game developers ... like i once post 12 questions on ut2003 and they answer them all .

6 months!!! Corporate suicide if they let it slip that long! From a business perspective they need to get the game out ASAP before all this media attention ad hype dies down. The amount of hype over the last week or so has reached absolute fever pitch that people will shell out the readies without even thinking. I cant remember the last time a game enjoyed such overwhelming coverage and excitement , vavle/vivendi dont even have to advertise the game, the events surounding it and hype are doing it for them. If they could get the game out within the next month they would make a killing on sales.


Plus we would be quite happy too

6 months!!! Corporate suicide if they let it slip that long! From a business perspective they need to get the game out ASAP before all this media attention ad hype dies down.

If the game is as good as the material available suggests, the hype it has enjoyed already should be well enough.

I just hope they don´t rush it out to please whoever.

Bah. I don't know how Lucasarts frigged up dual-lightsabers and lightsaber-staffs, but they did. It's also (from my experience with it anyway) chunky and nowhere near as smooth and fun as JK2. Which was really the 3rd in the series. Notice how they figured out to stop giving numbers?

And anyone else notice that the guns are now essentially relegated to "When you just can't get at them to hack 'em to pieces with your lightsaber"? Which basically means A) sniper, or B) a supreme ambush situation where they're firing at you from all sides, so you basically have to force-speed to a hiding spot and pick 'em off one at a time, then pull out the lightsaber again for the next half hour of coridor-combat....

You know after playing the demo I though the EXACT same thing, how the hell can what is "basicly" an expansion pack run SLOWER and look worse, even though I've got a machine thats 1ghz faster than the one I used for JK2? Werd!

Obviously I didnt buy it.
