I just can't be bothered to argue any more. We've covered everything and the only thing left is you saying that theywould have taken Xen teleports and me saying they never realised it or just didn't care.

Probably. But Mossman still supports my side :p

Lawyers right, he tends to be always right, and quite frankly....he's still right. Right, right, right and right. We've heard all the facts and I firmly believe, it all adds up to (you guessed it) the Combine not being on Xen!! See what I did there? Lawyer, right, again.

Huzzah!

Actually my post was to indicate that Mossman's statement can
be shown to equally support the "Yes" side.

Just because you can teleport on Xen doesn't necesarily mean you can do it the same same way on Earth. Xen is an extremely different world from earth. It might be so different that the methods of local teleportation of Xen just can't be used on Earth, hence Combine not adopting them. And,I don't think anyone is diputing that the local teleportion used on Xen is different from the Xen slingshot method, because slingshoting from Xen, around Xen, and back to Xen, would just be silly. I suppose you could use Earth for it though. I guess my point is that there are other possible explanations for a lack of Combine local teleportation while having control of Xen other than they were to lazy to look in to it.

This is what I said at some point. The weakness is that teleportation in the Lambda Core strongly resembles what is on Xen. Well, in so far as Xen has a system of blobby teleport things. There could still be fundamental differences behind those blobs.

Controllers and their kin managed just fine :p

I've been... around. As I said in another thread I'm back because I'll soon have a new laptop, so can play HL2 again, and because I feel like speculating about the addon :)

/me flies away to fight Godzilla

Just thought that ye might like to know I've edited wikipedia's entries for HL a little, nothing major and not passing off theory as fact of course. And on a more personal note; some f*cking bastard has deleted my headcrab theories from the headcrab section!:flame:

We must welcome him by laying palms at his feets, and stuff.

I'll second that. Mecha's pretty much a god at being an edgewalker between the theories. But Zombie Master compels him to side with me. As does Conquest.

Meh, as long as Mothra doesn't become involved I think we'll be ok.

Thirded. I'll hand him a nice cup of coffee. Then he'll return the favour by pelting me with mod work. See how it is with Mecha? :p
