What came first?

i'd like to hear some of your reasoning behind your choices aside from 'the chicken came first' or 'the egg came first'. why do you think that?

i'd ask myself what instrument am i using to take this reading? a human brain. my brain cannot comprehend one object without the other. if i say the chicken, then i'd reason that the chicken would have to come from somewhere, then i'd reason the egg, but then the egg would have to have come from a chicken...ad infinitum. so in this case, there is no solid answer, you can't say for definite that the chicken came first. in your 'reality tunnel', yes, the chicken came first. but in someone else's 'reality tunnel', the egg came first. is a person's response indicative of their personality? is a person who says the egg over the chicken a different person from the one who chose the chicken over the egg?

so here's my answer: the chicken was genetically engineered by a bunch of little green men, then was inseminated and was dropped on the earth, and thus it pooped out a little egg. so the chicken came first. or was it the egg...i dunno i need to rethink this.

the question didnt specify if the egg is a chicken egg, and reptiles existed long before chickens.
