What do you predict is going to happen on the 30th?

Here are my predictions:

1. Benchmark to be released on Steam, and conventionally.

2. New release date announced.

3. A New movie.

4. Some new info from Alcatraz.

I'm hoping!
 
We'll get a another Steam update that has a CS server fix on it and the Steam news page will remain unchanged.

I think it's going to be a while til they annouce the new date. I hope they do it soon, but at this point I expect the worst.

I think that the benchmark will go out the press, but not on Steam.

I hope they'll have some info from Japan.
 
The world will come to an end and the Great Evil (no, not Bill Gates) will stand in front of us and say:

As the heavens darken, man will go out into the streets and cry out at all the crashed computers. Floppy discs will melt. CDs will crack. DVDs will burn... Old CPU's will rain from the skies...
Some will pray for salvation...
Some will just fall down and die (90% of the cases when a CPU get lodged in their brain)...
Some will protest outside the Savior's offices (aka Valve headquarters)...
Some nutcases will sing "it's raining chips, halleluja, its raining chips! AMEN!"...
And some hardcore gamers will sit in their dark homes... Click... Click... Click... Staring into a dark screen... Click... Click... Click...
 
TF2 update that was promised "shortly after the anouncement of HL2 is over"
 
Well, I'll probably go to school, spend my day doing nothing and talking a bit, going home, eat and sleep.

EDIT: oh yeah pray and sacrifice baby's at my HL2 shrine.
 
On the 30th:

1. Halo is released.
2. People post threads grumbling about HL2 not being released.
 
The 9800xt will get out, push the prices and buy me at last a cheaper 9800 pro.

Is the 9800xt still on for release? I don't see why it shouldn't be, but you never know in this crazy, mixed up world we live in.
 
09/30 :
A huge meteor will be sighted, about to collide with Earth within a day.

10/1 :
The meteor will collide with the Earth, and Valve didnt manage to sell a single unit of HL2 - HAHAHAHA.

Or something :dozey:
 
hm valve will release demo game tech demo level i think :) my thougs ;)
 
If we don't get any new info on the 30th, I'm probably gonna be mighty tempted to cancel my HL2 preorder and get Halo

I've played the -FLT gold release with all levels, 1 cd, 1 gig, and it still lags like a mother.
