What happend to Dog?

hi.....at the start of the level Aniticitizen One Dog jumps on the Combine Dropship.....what do you think happend to Dog.

I think he's asking us to speculate on what happened to Dog during the time he was away from the player. Or perhaps not. What? Who?

Personally, I'd opt for a dull option, along the lines of "Dog drops off the dropship once out of Gordon's sight, then proceeds to lumber around killing things until you bump into him again". Woo.

Dog can't die, can he? He's a robot. He'd have to be taken completely apart to die - he'd still be 'alive' even if his legs and arms were removed. I guess it's that little CPU in his head (or is it somewhere else in his body) that keeps him going. Take that and bang goes Dog.

IIRC Barney said Dog came crashing through the roof. If my memory is correct, I would guess dog was flying around on top of the dropship and was able to watch Alyx be captured and watched her moved to the citadel. Then Dog drop through the roof of the building with Barney in it. Thats my guess anyways.

Man Dog is no doubt THE COOLEST character in an FPS EVER.
I mean he is awesome! He acts just like a dog, but he is so like, strong! And he can just pick up cars and chuck them at combine soldiers!

Also he makes the coolest sounds ^_^

lol, but I couldn't agree more. The only problem with dog was he was not in the game more. On that train of thought it would be really cool it one of the expansions for HL² was playing as alyx with dog as a sidekick. But really I just want dog to have an AI rather then being scripted.

I think that had to be my least favourite bit of the game. Alyx getting captured. It just felt so bloody stereotypical "Ooh help, I'm female, and therefore helpless....except that for the most part of the game I'm kicking serious combine booty!".
It just felt so obvious that that would happen. Woulda been much better to have Alyx pinned down by Combine gunfire to say something like "Gordon, don't wait for me. You're the Free man...now go free THEM!". Then have her pop up in the Citadel later, shoot the grav gun out of Breens stupid hand, kick Breen in his stoopid ass and have him crawl away on the floor while Gordon and Alyx have the inevitable romantic reunion.
Also, was it just me, or did anyone else feel let down that Alyx practically confessed her love for Gordon near the end? I thought it woulda been much better to have that still left to your imagination.

Well, Eli was captured too, but then again he was an old guy with a peg leg, so I kinda see your point...but wait, actually if you think about it Alyx was the only one brave enough to go inside the citadel besides you, so odds are she was going to get captured.

Maybe I'm being dumb, but I was under the impression Dog was captured by the ship?? He kicked the hell outta the soldiers, let you throught the wall, then it looked as though he was being hauled away by the combine ship? I'll take another look at that...

I just entered Anticitizen in chapter 11. I'm in the playground where i see a rebel shooting down the 2 scanners. The guide states that the rebel comes running toward you and follows you to the area where Dr.Breen's message monitor is being pulled down. The problem I am having is that the rebel does not run up to me and will not follow. She just stands there. I have tried everything I can think of to resolve this delema. Need help :angry:

They wanted all of the main characters of the game to be around or in the citadel so the ending would be more dramatic because you are also saving your friends.
