The OICW rifle, and the Combine assasin, prowler and so on, did they just cut that?

:) Yesh, there was sooooo many things cut out, it's as if they half assed the game... =(. It's okay Half Life 2 was still tight.

it really bugs me how hl2 could've been much better with more weapons, levels, enemies and twists (in the story) were included...

And I thought Combine Assasin (spelling?) was the white guys, I guess not.

Still agree, lots of things got 8<

AI dissapointed me the most. I was looking forward to being surprised by the smart combine elite's kicking my ass over and over again. The only impressive thing was when i shut the door on the fast zombies and they broke in through the skylights =|.

But then, they HAD to save some stuff for Half-Life 3 =D

somebody open up the model viewer and take pics of all the scrapped models and things (hydra, combine assasine, etc.). they must still be there.

edit: i always liked to do that after i played halflife. found some interesting stuff

Why do I see a thread about the OICW everytime I open a random forum?

Oh well the game was tight anyway, just a bit short compared to HL i think...

None of them are there, just the models to the combine unclothed, itchyosaur(or however the hell you spell it), the combine advisor.
However, I do want to note that if you open up the itcyosaur or the combine advisor, they have attacks and sequences already programmed. Even though they don't ever use them in the game.
Maybe that's a spoiler for HL3?

More enemies would have meant more enemies. It wouldn't necessarily have meant "better game". I don't see why people think it does. Same with weapons.

EDIT: Also, there are no unused models in the cache file, unlike in Half-Life.

Valve seemed to have removed half or at least 1/4 of the game. I'd rather have waited 1 more month and have some more maps (or longer) then have a short game released, and then having to wait for an expansion.

Quite a pity all those stuff dissapeared.

I have confidence in Valve that all the stuff they cut would have made the game suck.
Just my opinion.
