What I want to know is-what the hell has Gordon Freeman been doing all this time between HL and HL2? Let the speculation commence....

Theres been so many threads about this...

I think He dissapeard until they release HL2 and then you'll find out! wow... wouldn't that be cool!:dozey:

Let's not specualte. Let's just wait until HL2 comes out cos it will all be revealed there.

I know that if I knew too much about the HL1 story before I played it, it would have ruined the experience a little bit for me.

running round nuked black mesa...( iwanna go back to black mesa :'()

i think he defeated Zurgulon, patriarch of the Zurg Empire, partnered with dr. Who for a new series, had tea and crumpets with Ming the Merciless and acted as an advisor for Half-Life 2.

Sittin' on his couch drinking boose waiting for Valve to call him back to work. :p

probably undergone some g-man sponsored government training.

Gordon got lost under one of the couch cushions until a Valve employee happenned upon him.

Sleeping, waiting for Gabe to call him.

Seriously... Gabe officially said that when you wake up, you don't remember ANYTHING but your talk with the G-man.

It's part of the super-secretive plot, have to wait and see

cant wait to find out more about the story.

I think that he has been put into some time of sleep mode and has been healed, HEV suited repaired, and has been made stronger and better than before by the G-man's friends.

he died, and then he got reborned out of the ocean....

nah, but it hink that he has been in a coma or something, or the G-man has kept him in some sort of sleep and wakes him up right now! b'cuz now the aliens are back, and gordon has the best crowbar-swingin arm.

Maybe when he cross into the teleport something gona wrong and he fall in space...

WELL...ER WAITASEC. iT SEEMS MY caps LOCK KEY IS ON..there we go. Anyway, maybe he's been up to some bond-style antics as an agent of the G-man.
By the way David, where are you posting from?

Well, Gordon steps through the portal in the end of HL. This portal is kind of a timewarp/timemachine. It takes Gordon directly to the beginning of HL2. This would also explain the fact that Gordon can't recall anything that happened between him stepping through the portal and standing on that bridge by the water (assuming that it's where the game begins).

That's my two cents anyways...

after the events at black mesa and the ending of hl1 gordon joined a satanic cult where he led an army to destroy anyone or anything that stood in his path. after two short years gordon and his army of minions took over the entire world. the world was at gordons hands once again. the resistance planned a counter-attack to take out gordon so they prepared some deadly shrooms. they cleverly planted them on his house. one day gordon tried some bad shrooms. shortly after that he forgot who he was and wandered the world for questions. he came upon city 17 and found his old headcrab friends that where out of the job and where quite angry at gordon, gordon picked up his crowbar and this is where half-life 2 picks up

Took a trip to the planet of the apes

The mysterious G-Man walks up to Gordon Freeman and puts a hand on his shoulder. With a small shake, Gordon is awoken from his memories. That fateful day in Black Mesa......

"It's time to... get to work, Mr. Freeman."

Gordon gives a sharp look to the face staring back.

"Get your hands off me you damn, dirty ape!"

The corners of the G-Man's mouth curled ever so slightly. Who is this mysterious man? The G-Man walks toward the door with slow, even paces. He stops halfway out the door and turns around.

"Language, Mr. Freeman. It's not very nice to say bad things."

With a superior looks on his face, the G-Man walks out the door. Grumbling, Gordon gets up out of the recliner and grabs his security passes off the lampstand. "The start of another dull day of work.", thought Gordon. At least that's how the day started....

hee hee hee. And then he joins 100 headcrabs in a stirring rendition of Dr. Seus.
