Just curious cause its already 5 oclock EST. AND NO IM NOT COMPLAINING.

They said it would be unlocked Wed. My question is why wouldn't they just simply unlock it. You'd think they would unlock it at either midnight last night or I don't know noon maybe. But now its 12:45 PST. Do they actually have to do something to make it go live? I figured it would just be a flick of a switch type thing and bam its live.

Im just kinda curious what goes on over there.

Wrong Fourm

According to my sources, the CS:S beta will be unlocked at 3pm PST which is in approximately 98 minutes. I doubt much effort is really needed other than activating the game from their end and entering the decryption keys to unlock the cache files.

Moved to CS: Source Forum

On a side note, yes we do have a CS:S forum and it is actually quite busy. Please will everyone start using it for all threads related to CS:S. Thanks.

I considered putting this in the Cs:S forum but decided not to because I'm really inquiring about the kind of work Valve has to do to make a game go live. The fact that its CS:S is inconsequential. But you're the boss.
