pretty much the same. although i do admire and have a strong interest in buddhism, although they don't believe in a god or anything.

some people need spiritual and religious guidance, some people need someone else to tell them what is right or wrong....but that's just not me *shrugs*

I don't belive that any god exists, so I guess im an atheist.

same here...buddhism is the most evolved religion on earth

you dont really choose what faith to believe in...you either believe or you dont

I stay uninvolved but include my $0.02
..............If you think about it, everything on this planet had to come from one being, wether it evolved or is God its ur choice. Back to my point, ever animal almost all bugs and misc creatures all share 4 or more characteristic that Humans do.
There are but are not limited to,
Finernail (AKA Claws etc)
Head (or a section of the creature that can be considered a head.
Eyes
Legs
Hair
Arms
Water or other oxy requirement to stay alive.
- So useing the above we for an example say, A horse has some blood relation to humans due to its obvious arm and leg structure, head, hair and air intake. So thus would mean everything has a connection to one being that had all those traits and these by some method became all of what is. Not sure what or where plants came from. Maybe they started a a bacteria then got bigger and bigger until they formed trees or something. Yup there u go

Christian - Roman Catholic to be specific.

Edit: OoGoof, ever heard of Darwin or Evolution?

You're either indoctrinated from a young age or you choose to believe in it later in life. I can say I'd believe in Aboriginal Dreamtime stories before I put faith in any of the major religions...

Yeah, but i am just stating evidence for a starter, that all else changed from, Whether the origional was proytoplasm or God is ur choice. Thats all I am saying.

you've got a point there...but for some people faith is a non-issue...since the dont question their faith they dont make a conscious choice

Heh, mine is both.
What caused those first molecules to join and form an amino acid? How did monkeys evolve intelligence? My answer to both would be God, some Christians see Survival of the Fittest as going against the Bible, but not me :)

I sincerely believe in God, but I don't put my total faith in any of his fan clubs. The core beliefs of almost every religion are good guidelines for life, which is why I believe they exist in the first place. I was raised Roman Catholic, but have a strong leaning towards the ideas put foward in the Buddhism and even some of the gnostic bibles.

i've been muslim for a pretty long time, as in all my life

Uh, atheist/agnostic is not a religion? Bald isn't a hair color, either.

Lol, no. Christianity is Christianity. Protestantism is an offshoot of Catholicism, but it's all still under the larger umbrella of Christianity.

no ..all christian faiths are an offshoot of roman catholicism.

i said christian but only because i think there's somethign out there, saying that i don't like organised religion and anything but the study of something religious weirds me out.

still, there is probably something that has to make me pay for all the terrible things i do.

just noticed your post....

You are aware that the bible was not written in Latin when it was scribed... It was written in Arabic, various parts of the NT are seen as being translated from arabic poetry, this is not a very Roman Catholic.

it wasn't even written in one go. Whereas Roman Catholicism was built off a base of a complete bible, in fact it is mostly based off the 4th Gospel which was the last Gospel to be written and is still debated about today.

In fact, i am not going to write an essay on how wrong you are but take it as given that what you said in that quote i may have to keep in my signature because it is the most ignorant and stupid thing anyone has ever written on these forums.

Catholicism counts as a "Christian based faith."

Which is, itself, a Christian faith.

Also, you're wrong. First of all, there were plenty of Christian sects before the Catholic Church became dominant, like the gnostics, the Paulites, etc. And not too many centuries after that, the church split into two churches, both of which claimed to be the true Catholic Chruch (Catholic, by the way, means "One" as in, the one true Christian Chruch). Then Martin Luther split from Catholicism, and all sorts of new Protestant sects cropped up in hsi wake, like Calvinism. In addition, the English church broke off so that it's current king could divorce his wives and so infect as many women with syphilis as possible before he died. :)

who pissed in your cornflakes this morning? who the effing cares? What were they called before their was catholicsim? all christianity is an offshoot of judaism which is an offshoot of various religions. I dont want to break it down to specifics (frankly I dont care who was first) but catholicism is generally seen as the first organised version of christianity

Then what are YOU going on about how it's not Christian?

To the jewish people...what exactly is "koshier"? I hear it all the time, but dont know what it is. Does it relate to what you can and can't eat?

Dictionary.com said:
a. Conforming to dietary laws; ritually pure: kosher meat.
b. Selling or serving food prepared in accordance with dietary laws: a kosher restaurant.

blah10charlimit

Im christian, and Lethal I think that koshier means that it is blessed, and if I am wrong, Im sorry and please correct me.

edit: ok sub found out, I wonder where I came up with the blessed Idea?

yeah, kosher food is stuff that is ok..or at least that is how i understand it (non-jew)

You didn't say the first organised religion you got high and mighty claiming Chrisitanity came from Roman Catholicism which is just plain ignorant and there is no reason for it.

The Catholic and Orthodox Church split is an odd one, how the hell do you know so much about everything Apos, i always feel like a wiseass and then you seem to know a little more....(i just read that little tirade about the pledge of alliegance which was quite interesting)
