What was your first game alias?

Can't quite remember my first but a major one I used was OSiRiS and I was known in Mechwarrior 3 on the MSN Gaming Zone, in TA, SC and some other games.

The first one i used was Vigilante cat then i got bored and moved to Pimpinpenguin.

Mine was...

PsychoFreak
Psycho
Xeon-V

Mine...

V!p3r  (in CS)
Busta-Hymen (also in CS)
DoubleYew-Tee-Eff (the one i'm currently using in CSS, BF2 etc)

I think it was Pigma got it from a character in the Lylat Wars(StarFox) game...

First online game was Populous the Beginning and StarCraft.

Populous was an AWESOME game by the way.

I have serious lack of creativity when it comes to making nicks.

My first nick was IgrEk, stolen from a signature in a swedish pcgamer reader mail page. After that I used De@dly_DoZeN for a while (randomly based on the ww2 game), and gH0zT K1ll@ (a pcgamer article about CS cheating). In the summer of 03, I started playing NOLF2 and got absolutely hooked. Since then I've used the nick CrazyHarij, based on the funny little indian character in the game.

Lately I've little by little replaced it with Derelic7, my artist name, and Dr Drumatix based on my tr-606 "drumatix" drum machine.

I'm making up crap alot on random nowadays though, and I'll probably come to a good conclusion to use as both my online nick and artist name sometime in the future.

Golden_Dragon -> Sabre0001 ...Not sure why I choose any of my nicknames really...

I've always had my gaming/internet names music related. My first, back when I played CoD online, was Demanufacture, or more accuratly, [DemanuFacturE] or something like that. (Thats an album by the band Fear Factory)

I don't do much online gaming, the most is BF2MC and Halo 2, so my Live name is Thrashtastic. Thrashtastic has now stuck for most things.

It first started with Starcraft where I ran up the ladder with the uber nickname: Alegeto. Then came Diablo 2, my character name was "War Spirit", I've kept that when I played the CS beta and first versions of TFC. Then I got into a small private (500 ppl) MMORPG where I called my character Nepiros. Then came DOD and Medal of Honor Allied Assault, I added an Pvt. to give a soldier feel to: Pvt. Nepiros. (thats my email). Then Nepiros grew old, and while I was playing Super Mario Bros 3 stoned with my friends 3 years ago, we laughed so hard when we heard the "DERNT" sound mario does when he jumps that I kept DERNT as my actual nickname. My forum nickname is Birdman because this account was created during the hype of DOOM 3 and the first concept videos showed a demon character who looked like a Bird and I thought he looked ace (I'm sad they took him out too :( )so I ktook Birdman for a while.

Right now I mainly play CSS and my nickname is [TIOD] Dernt - Mushroom.

[TIOD] --- Clan: The Instrument of Doom
Dernt --- Main nick name, Mario jump sound
Mushroom --- Cause I love magic psychedelic mushrooms

Fireball, in Diablo. I took Darkside after that, which has been my gaming name for the past seven years (although it's been Darkside Emperor for over half of those).

Stinger
stinger.aim92 (for originality; 'Stinger-AIM 92' is the full name of the missile afaik)
#stinger.aim92 (hash for coolness :p)

Unfocused

about 12 years ago, I started with Anthrax. About 5 years after that, I noticed a lot more people using Anthrax, so I added two x's. And now, I'll sometimes used dAnthraxxx because my name is Daniel...

Something naff I'm sure. Can't remember what though. Was Alerond for a while, then changed it to Sam-2k because Alerond is rubbish (was an amalganation of two friends' names). Sometimes use a name from a game / tv show / film I'm enjoying then.

It was when i was playing CS Beta, and after every round i would change my nbame to something different because i couldn't figure out what i wanted to be called, then i stopped when I changed it to "Hobo w/ a Bat" and it's been that way for 9 years since.

"The Kid" like in the western movie.
First online game was Populous the Beginning and StarCraft.

Populous was an AWESOME game by the way.
So true, I regret not joining the online competition back then.

My first online FPS was Sum of all fears & my first nickname was Merc. $N!Pa-X which I had with also Ghost Recon..then I moved to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault & I forget the nickname I had then.

I moved latter to the Battlefield series, I had multiple nicknames...like Rick-James-B(The worst nickname evar) D:.Then there was also Patton-T3H-Gen, then later I moved to Half-Life 2 where I intestest to play Single player games.

As you see now I am KaMaKaZi-BLiTz....People tend to confuse me with the KaMaKaZi-BLiTz from Hl2world.com...well I have no relation to him, Its just.. it probably just popped in my head...idk...its a mystery to me.

The real reason why I am KaMaKaZi-BLiTz is because I invented a new tactic called Kamakazi-Blitzkreig... Which is to say is a combination of WW2 kamakazi suicide tactics infused with the lighting speed of the German blitzkreig.

I think mine was "The Crow" on blueyonder Counter-strike servers.

That brings back memories...

Water_Snatcher

My mom called me that once because she was pissed that I took all the water from the pitcher in the fridge

believe it or not, it was "Spoonoop". It all started when I created a Starcraft battle.net account and I was trying to think of a name. It's scary because this name is so unique I don't think anyone else has it. If you type "Spoonoop" in on google you can literally track every game I play and every little post I ever posted. I'm not encouraging the thought of tracking me down :O

old ones I use:

Conrad - I was heavily influenced by Flashback game
Traxan - I made this one up
Captain-Traxan - starcraft...
I Will Rock You - dod - I love queen!

Theres plenty more, but I believed I've forgotten them.

I was originally Accer in Ultima Online. I needed a name when I made the account, and the first thing I looked at were my Acer speakers. I just slapped another C in it and off I went.

Then I joined up with some guy named Krynn and killed some nubs and I got marked as a murderer, I didnt feel like waiting for me to get unflagged and I had lost all my stuff so I made a new alias which I think was Mephiston or something.

When I quit UO, I assumed the name Krynn72.

docm 5 eva!

Docm is the earliest name I can remember, I got it in the mid '90's for whatever reason. Then changed it to Docm30 when Docm was taken at hotmail...

Thinking about adopting a new name, as I have had it so long, some stupid stuff is attached to it.

...
You assimilated him?!

It was "Matt" in my earlier years. This was before I knew there were "gaming aliases." Then later, my excitable friend started making word play with my name, Matt Guess. He was yelling "Hello Matthew Guess. Mattguess. Mattigus. Sir Mattigus. Hello Sir Mattigus." Since then I've been using it.

I used bread, then zabar, then szabar, then this, but then I also kinda liked the Arunmor Corp or something from Uplink, so I also use it.

Yes I know, bread's awesome, isn't it? It's so creative. *swoons*

Sir Toothpaste is random and used only when I'm pwning. Actually, so are the rest.

I recently thought of a new one too, called mr. trevorman. Influenced by Magical Trevor (durhhhh) by Weebl, which was like a fad in my class.

EDIT:

I just realised that it's the same for me. D:

Quantum Jesus, Fort Pownall, Kamahl. Those are the main ones I use or used.

Must've been Spaz, just cause it's what everyone used to call me :)

Private Ryan. Had to make up a nickname when I went to play MoHAA with friends.

Oh, I totally forgot my dod phase. When I played dod I had a bunch of names. My favorites were:

Accer
Pershing
Turkeyslapper
Sh0nm4n

Pi|Mu|Rho, although I have a bunch of aliases that I use, depending on what I'm doing. Which I'm not going to tell you.

I went through numerous names, but never used any but this name. Since I used to like Dragon Ball Z alot, I would always incorperate some name into my handle. But in the end, I just took my fathers online nickname, and incorperated it into mine...CyberPitz was born!

Yay!
