What will you be doing on 30th sept?

So... only 9 more days till the supposed HL2 launch... what will you be doing on the day? Will you be camping outside your local games store in a tent, or will you be camping your front door, waiting for the mailman to drop a copy of HL2 onto your head?

I'll be stuck in school, doing as little work as possible ;( I'll either order it, or grab it on the weekend sometime maybe... who knows :dozey:

So... what are your plans? :bounce:
 
visit school, have a rest after that, and sit half night in forums & irc waiting for HL2 release

I know its sad, but i delayed my 3 month trip to australia to be able to play HL2 for 3 weeks :bounce: :cheers:

o yea, gettin up about 11:afro: see if my preorder arrived, if not go to GAME buy myself a copy, play for god knows how long :bounce:
 
Go to school. Then play it (if it's released till then).

If it's announced this week, and it's definitely going to be out on the 30th, I'll proceed to book a week or two off work. Of which I'll get paid for. And I'll spend that time playing HL2 probably. I'll have to try modding again too. I had a bit of a go with modelling, mapping and animating back in the day. Might try out the new tools.
 
I booked the day off work, whether i buy it from a shop or steam, I gonna play it as soon as I can. Also with a Tuesday release, just playing in the evening and having to contemplate work the next day is a no go. I need a whole day. If it don't come out, well I head up the golf course instead. I win both ways
 
go to work and realy try to get back to the nearest Game store

it coses at 6

finish work at 5 takes 44 minutes to get to town 5 minutes to get from car park to gamestore

gonna be TIGHT

if i get it ill play it all night and not go to sleep.



*i could just quit my job cos its good pay and all but my boss's are loosers, "dont throw that out" (it was a bloody ISA machine thats got a "tested for safety" sticker on it going way back to 95 :eek:

Gonna play it all day, next day: playing on my school laptop all day with my classm8s...then repeat.
 
I'm going to goto the store and buy HL2...and play it for a while...then goto class.
 
go to my work and get the game during my lunch break :p
 
Go to school, then come back on my lunch hour and check the internet to see the wonderful news about HL2' release.
...Then do something about:p
 
or i could just say i have to stay home cos ummm my windows got broken and the window dude is fuly booked except for a 8 hour gap on the day half life 2 gets released!

go shopping for my b-day presents with my friends', relatives' and my parents' money :cheers:

gonna pick up hl2 also and play it throughout the day (if it's out in 30th that is)
 
If it hits stores on Tuesday, I'll get my dad to drive me to the store at 6:00pm and pick it up so I can play it all night. :D
 
Either:
a) Grumbling to myself wondering when the game will truly be released

or

b) Slurping up glorious hl2 goodness
 
Before work I will call Game Stop to see if they got the copy in as I pre ordered it. If not I will start the download off steam while I go to the store to get my money back. If they do I will pick it up on my way back from work. Eighter way I will probably be playing this after work as I hope valve will figure out how to keep the load on their servers low.

I'm feeling the same way, but not sure as I want to take a day off for my birthday which is Friday. Decisions, decisions.
 
I'll be at school, but I have a spare after lunch so I'll check out the forums then. And assuming that it's out, go pick it up at EB.
 
its my mrs birthday on the wed 1st oct and she wants a gold watch :( if i have any money left over i will buy HL2 on the tues and play it all nite :D
 
Unfortunatly Tuesday is a bad day for me. I have classes from 3:30-4:45pm and 7:00-8:15pm. So I'm either buying it between classes, before classes, or on Friday (Wednesday = even more classes, and Thursday is just like Tuesday).

We'll see how it all works out, though. Hopefully I'll get the game before the weekend, because the weekend is when I actually do things. :)
 
I'll be in school... :( I don't think my copy of HL2 will get here till the Thursday tho (assuming that it comes out on the 30th). I preordered it from www.ukgames.com and I don't know when I'll be getting it.

I would just buy it on the Saturday, but the nearest (decent) game shop is in Scarbourgh, which is about an hour away I think, so I preordered it.

It's gonna be awful if my copy of HL2 comes in the morning, 2 min before I have to set off to school. Ack, it better not do.

just take it with you and luagh every 3-5 minutes and you might get sent home early

I'm goin to school in the morning, getting my pre-ordered copy during my lunch, going back to school, then going home to install and play HL2. But then I have a very "conviently" placed band rehersal on the 30th from 6-8pm :flame:

Stupid fools release games on week days. pffft. Ill be in school too, though i will also try to get to the mall and back within my lunch.
 
probably find out if it actually vcame out, and if it did go check stores and hopefully buy it
 
Wake up at about 10 or eleven, check out the forums to see if the game is out and then, if it is out, I'll head down to the store and, surprise surprise, buy the game.

I just have this weird feeling that I'm gonna get mugged and robbed during the walk back home :cheese:
