I remember having seen this somewhere, but I forgot the name. Does anyone know it?

Those things used to fascinate me to no end as a kid.

There was also something else as a kid that I used to love. Trying to remember what it was. It was like... it reminds me now of one of those counting devices that you slide objects on. except they went all over the place and looped. I don't remember exactly, but when I was a young kid I loved it.

A swingset with big rubber balls to sit on. This particular design has some flaws though...

Was it one of those things... where... it had a platform with colorful rails everywhere and you just slid the colorful peices up and around the rails and stuff. The rails where twisted all to hell so you had to move your hand around the platform and stuff. I think I know exactly what you're talking about.

Aha... I figured it out.

This... this is what fascinated me as a young kid. And when I say young, I mean YOUNG. One of the few early memories I have.

Yeah, those things were in the doctors office I'd go to as a kid. They were so fun. Getting them all together and pushing them along.

Yeah, I think it was a doctor's office I was in at the time, or some sort of other business office. I just remember a nice building. My memory of that young age is very hazy.

The only time I would see them was at a doctors/dentists office.

....the more I look at that, the more it scrambles my brains..... :s

Yes I also spent hours using those sometimes... Horrible stuff :p I think we have the same sort of fascinations:cheers:

The Watch represents what little time we have on earth, the shape is the puzzle of life that we must solve in this time.

Ah so Grasshopper

It's the holy grail. We weren't meant to understand it.

Isometry is for squares.

I don't know why, but your thread here is what brought up the memory of that abacus toy. It certainly wasn't in my thought process at any time during the past 15 years at least. This thread just instantly evoked memories of it.

Monkey... that one always blows my mind. Every time I use a color dropper to compare the colors, and then painting over it... it just amazes me each and every time.

I used to have a newtons cradle on my desk, nice executive gadget. I thought my cat would like it, so I set the balls off and he was fascinated watching them go back and forth for a good 2 minutes. He then turned to me, then turned back and smacked the whole thing with his paw. He broke the cables for 3 of the balls.

He then left. Victorious. I haven't bought a new one, there isn't any point.
