This is true. It's funny, people think we blindly follow the Govt. and buy into everything they say, when it's quite opposite. Americans are prone to provide a large dissent toward the Government and many of it's subordinate organizations. It's also funny a lot of the same people who say they don't trust the Govt. want the Govt. to take guns away. It's like throwing fuel on a fire. You're bad and all, and I don't trust you, but you can have my gun.

Well obviously the rest of canada couldnt vote...but we showed quebec our support through rallies. I dont know of a single person that wanted quebec to seperate (I'm in ontario)

Hey, im not French, im a Quebecker. Maybe we talk the same language as in france, but we're not the same thing. I like my country, my culture and our values. I almost find it insulting that you think im french. Don't you know that there are different cultures in the world ? Its like if i said that all the people from america, england, south africa, ... and all other english speaking countries are the same.

Imagine that england would be a province of france, governed by a government in Paris. Im sure you like France, but would you like your country being controlled by it ?

If you ask me, Quebec can seperate if they REALLY want since I suspect most seperatists don't realize what changes that would involve, even if Quebec did seperate I doubt that it could last too long on its own before it would need Canadian or American assistance.

A little OT, but I remember an American comedian awhile back doing his standup comedy Canada. He was talking about why the US hasn't invaded and anexed Canada yet and he said the reason was Quebec. "Sure we want you Canadians, but you've got a poison pill... Quebec."
