White Screen of no DoD

When I try to run DoD (I supposedly downloaded all the necessary file s when I tried running the game) it goes to a white screen and freezes on that. Forever. Is this that bug I heard mentioned where steam thinks it downloaded necessary files but didn't? Day of defeat actually seems to be updating now that I look on the monitor.

So yeah, any confirmation on that? or is it something else?

I am still waiting for DOD to entirely download onto my own Steam. Sucks, I have been at it since 12:00, and it is now 4:33 where I live.
