NIN owns. But I rarely listen to the music thats playing from the CD. I usually disable them and have winamp playing my music in the backround

...but then again I did that with Doom. Whenever I played doom my brother would have Nirvana play in the backround and now I can't get Doom images out of my head when I her Smells like Teen Spirit. or vice versa

Sometimes its tight when you are playing the game and suddenly tons of enemys are in your sights and you start firing and the apex of the song goes and its like AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! Which will be tight since HL2 I think will do that with the sound coding it has. Meaning all quiet and soft melodies when walking and nothing happening then BOOM! Headcrab and the squel of a sick guitar.

So far, the music in HL2 is going directly into my heart with the awesome style.

Some games you just shouldnt play without the music designed for it, such as Call of Duty (the single players element) and System Shock.

I agree with SELAS. The barricade music was pretty good. Another game that had good techno music was metroid prime. Kenji Yamamoto did a good job to capture the atmosphere, i think he did some other games too.
