Who else plays guitar?

LOL.

Anyway, I played for about a year, but I got bored pretty quick. Coordination just isn't my jam I guess...

You guys need ears D:

I've played for nearly 2 years now.

Hey! Listen here, I don't care how many decades you've been playing. I thought what I wrote was pretty awesome.

Ive been playing for 3 years now. I can play most songs with a bit of practice...but it's just those damn solos! D:

I've been playing for 8 years. I'm startin to get the hang of it.

My only problem is my inabliity to move my fingers very fast or pluck strings very fast. :p

That was my problem. I'm probably one of the most uncoordinated guys on this earth, so moving from Chord-to-chord was a real pain in the ass for me.

were u just fretting random notes and playing? anyway, i have been playing for 3 years and i play most heavy stuff. as for chord changing, u need to 'feel' the chords first before playing them. whenever i learn a chord, i close my eyes and try to feel that chord. then i play it with other chords i noe. do it slowly and increase the speed as you go.

I took classes for six months and I play on and off for fun sometimes.

I play guitar in a band called Architect.

Not much showoff stuff, but the song "Sirens and Titans" has some fast guitarplaying, as well as some Santana style soloing in the beginning.

Oh, there's some "semi-shredding" in the middle part of "A Vulture's Song".

As you could see in my video I play mostly speed metal, because it's the only type of music that takes skill to play.

Yup, skills. Anyone can play all slow. It takes true dedication to play all fast like I was there.

You and your finger plucking spanish guitar can go eat me, because it's too easy.

lmao dude, i just watched your video, you are too funny XD (although the second half was alright, methinks)

If someone wants to take lessons just let me know. I'm willing to give some.

I play guitar and also bass, actually i just picked up a crybaby last week (wah), my favorite songs to play are NIN songs (surprise i know)

Too bad no one listens to speed metal.

Much like Slacker, I have no coordination with guitars. I got an acoustic, but I can't play very well. I should get lessons, but I doubt they'd be any use.

Sure... Here's goes lesson one. I call it the power of solos. In this video I show you how a true metal guitarist improvises his solos. Try to pick up some of my techniques. The solo is about 3 minutes long and uses a lot of common speed metal trade marks. Take a look!

(Please give the video a few minutes to process as I just uploaded it now.)

Also, I will not be giving out the tabs. A true metal guitarist can tab out a song just by listening to it. If you can't do it by ear watch my fingers.

play smth proper, not some stuff that makes u look like a douche....

If showing off your skill makes you look like a douche then I guess I'm a douche. Plus, douches are hygenic products so I take that as a compliment.

I think this guy is taking the piss

Seriously, your not even playing in key. Your just playing completely random notes.

I play guitar in a band called Architect.

Oooo, I like those songs! :)

Been playing for 8 years now, can also play bass (if you can play the guitar then bass comes pretty easy) and the keyboard. I played in a band for two years whilst in secondary school, mainly playing gigs around the area for extra cash, and participating (and generally winning xD) the battle of the bands contests hosted by the diffirent venues. Back then we played Metallica songs mostly, and trust me, some of those songs must have taken me 6 months of pure practice to master. When we got to college we split up but are still very good mates (we split up to concentrate on work in college since secondary school was easy we got away with dedicating a lot of time to the music). I have no interest in going on to form a band and 'attempt' to make it big, the lifestyle doesn't exactly suite me, plus I have other better plans for the future ;) Since the split up, me and my girlfriend (awsome bass player) have been jamming together just for fun, we usually play Muse songs now. Matt Bellamy must be one of the most talented musicians of the 21st century.

Hey buddy, it may be funny to make fun of beginners but way to be an asshole. It's people like you who discourage people from learning new stuff. Grow up.

How is 8 years a beginner? Beginner would be like, 2 months.
