Who is GM Gabriel?

I've been reading Penny Arcade casually for the past few months and have noticed a couple of pieces taking a dib at someone called GM Gabriel. I've gathered that he's an overzelous GM from world of warcraft but that doesn't tell me who he is and what he did to make him a figure for ridicule.

So I'm just wondering, does anyone here know more? I've tried google but with just "GM Gabriel" to go on the results are pretty random.

Ok, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're tired. I know that one of the PA staff is called Gabriel however I want to know who GM Gabriel, from the most recent comic, is.

Unless of course they are one in the same person, but you didn't say that so I'll assume they're not.

I'm assuming he's a GM for World of Warcraft that has been going around being abnoxious and evil.

Evil GMs are the best to hang around with, though.

I think you missed the humour with those strips. Gabe, the artist of the PA strips has a character that is somewhat... immature, oddball. GM Gabriel is simply the result of him receiving WoW powers.

Yeah seems so. Their strips dip in and out of real life, coupled with the fact that I've never actually played WoW, it's an easy mistake to make.
