Who wants Doom 3 a Bit Early? (Seriously)

it says billed when shipped and lots have been billed so unless gamespot wants some major lawsuitage.. I think the game shipped out
 
well i called my local EB and their date is still August 4th.. so considering theres no Gamestop around here, i might as well just keep my pre-order with EB.
 
I got mine from gamestop today, came with a cute lil pewter Hell knight (Doom1)
aka Baron of hell.

Well, looks like those of us with Gamestop preorders will be playing Doom 3 on Saturday. And the great thing is...my Geforce 6800 GT is coming TOMMOROW! Perfect timing.

@ people asking me if I have doom3:
nope, cmon now... we were discussing the pre-orders, I got my pre-order box and pewter figurine.
I would take pics but the digi cam isnt here right now.

I get my copy of the full version on sat or mon.


as for the baron? he sits on the top of my monitor :D shaking his fist angrily at Valve for their Tom-foolery.
 
I confirmed it at my Gamestop too! I can't wait until Saturday! Hooray! :thumbs:

Everyone who thinks that gamespot will really have this on friday or saturday PLEASE for sanity sake just keep augest 3rd in your head untill the game is in your hands. Their is alot of people on the DOOM3 fourm that are complaining that if gamespot where to have it then, then all retailers "aka eb" would have it then too.

Guys come on when has EB not been the people to be the one to sell stuff way before time?
 
OMG. LMAO. I just found out that was gamespot store near where I live. Less then a 5-10 mintute walk. Gonna go there and ask if they gonna release it Sat. If they do gonna cancel my preorder :p
 
I preordered with EBX on like the 16th since I had just found that it went gold, and the date was the 4th. Then just yesterday I put in a preorder with Best Buy across the street because they are getting it monday night. Now i find out that gamestop is getting it on Saturday? This is nuts, I will have to cancel two preorders. HAHAHA

Well, when I call them and they say July 31, why shouldn't I believe them? Plus, tons of other GameSTOPS are saying the same thing...

If I go to Gamestop on Saturday, and it isn't there...I will be very sad ;( Although since so many Gamestops are reporting the same date, and the fact that most (all?) of the online orders have been changed to processing, I'm pretty convinced :)
 
My gamestop was selling doom 3 today, i couldn't buy it though, cause EB ****ing screwed me over :(
 
Ok i work at a gamestop in michigan and we are supposedly getting the game in on saturday but who knows, we get lots of errors at ours for release dates.

THE REAL ****ING GAME!! what is wrong with you people? they were all shrink wrapped behind glass with a homemade sign "On Sale Now!" and there were like 15,000 (exagerated number) of them! and they didn't have that yellow bar on the top or w/e that is, like the pre-order boxes do

my box doesnt say-preorder anywhere on it, its a doom3 box, its just empty... well besides the pewter dude.

Stop being redundent (ba-da-CHING).. I know a few people whose EB's had it but couldent sell it. The game is basically in stores tomorrow I believe.

i don't think they'd put a "On Sale Now" sign up for a box with a figure... they'd have a sign that says "Pre-Order Now!"

Well, I have to say, I believe you :) But I still wonder why we haven't heard from anyone how has bought it...probably because they are too busy playing the game nonstop ;)
